Is it normal to still be in quite a bit of pain 16 days post op? I woke up really sore today and have been getting shooting pains in my breasts (esp nipples) all day. The side of my right breast is still very swollen and sore too. Should I not be feeling better by now and if not, how long will it take?

Shooting spasmodic pains are normal sweetheart and are a sign that the healing process is underway and that the nerves are regenerating and knittng back together. They will disappear soon slowly over the next few weeks (although I still very occasionally still get them and I'm about 7 weeks post op.
The swelling is normal too hun and that will slowly go down over the next couple of weeks.
Try not to worry, everything that you have described seems like the normal healing process, although it can be a bit worrying at first Hug

Thanks for that. I wish I'd found this forum before I had my op (although maybe not as I might have wimped out!)

I find it hard to enjoy my boobies when they are so hard and painful. Although OH is loving them!!!!!!!!!!!!!
