Anyone had sub-fascial implants? Empty Anyone had sub-fascial implants?

Post by Laurametcalf 30th January 2011, 1:19 pm

Hey ladies, I wonder if anyone can help me. Had my final consultation yesterday and surgeon has suggested I go from overs to sub-fascial implants as I don't have much tissue. He said he'd place it in front of the muscle, behind the 'fascia' which ia a fairly new technique which allows the top of the implant to be less obvious. Is this the same as partial unders? Or is it different? If anyone knows about this or has had this type, pls help me!! Very confusing....Xx

Hi Laura, I had partial unders and the outer top (hope that makes sense) of my implant sits behind my pec muscle. Sub-fascial sounds different to me ??? Someone may come along to advise, but I'd google it in the meantime xx

Kat86 is having this done - it is over the muscle but below the gristle which lies on top of the muscle and this can help hide the edge of the implant - especially if your skin is thinner.
James McDiarmid discussed it [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] if you would like some reassurance.

Thanks Laura, I'm fine still not a lot of sensitivity in my nips, but at least the numbness id slowly starting to disappear. Other than that things are just about back to normal except I cannot yet do any upper body work in the gym to keep me toned in the upper body and arms.
