Hiya girlies,

I am 6 days post op having to have my first implants removed due to rupture. Anyway when I first had my scan to look how bad the ruptures were I was told that they couldn't see any in my lymph nodes. During my consultation with my surgeon who replaced them he said he could feel silicone in my lymph nodes and would look into it in theatre.

Over the past few days I have had little to no pain so not been taking any painkillers but yesterday my left armpit was tender and after me having a feel I found a lump!! :tears:
Then today......I have found another one under my right armpit wtf ???

Has anyone else had these post op??? I hope it's not lymph nodes full of silicone! Could it just be swollen glands???

Hope everyone else is ok xx :console:

Thanks phoebe,

I really do need to ring him.....and will! I am one of those people that suffer in silence then it's too late! My PIP implants were ruptured for about 2 years before I eventually couldn't stand the pain and went the doctors!!

Thank you x x x

Awww hunnie, sorry to hear you might have a problem, please, pleeeeeease give your surgeon a ring tomorrow, just to put your mind at ease, if for nothing else. You'll be so angry with yourself if you sit there for a couple of days worrying yourself stupid and then find out it's nothing at all Hug

Hey sweetie, I too had a ruptured implant and lymph nodes removed. After my surgery I have since discovered another raised lymph node and have been assured by both my thotacic surgeon and my cosmetic surgeon that all is well, you should still definately have the lumps checked out sweetness but I just wanted to offer you some comfort in knowing not all lumps are reason for concern hunni, but ALL lumps should be checked. xx

Just thought I would update you..........called my PS today and he was totally understanding with my concerns and has booked me in so he can check me out tomorrow at 1.30 which is brilliant!

I just want to say thank you for your advice and for giving me the push to call!

He also mentioned that it could just be swelling because as soon as he made the incision to remove the implant it was just like a soggy mess and started oozing out before he had the chance to try and grab it! My PC was also there during surgery and she was shouting in the background that she had never seen ruptured implants so serverly ruptured! Thank god there out!!

Thanks girls x x x :boobstick:

That's so nice to hear hunnie (well the bit about it probably being just swelling). Thank god those previous implants are out and gone forever too lovely.
