Re: getting sick!!
when i start feeling like im coming down with something, i make sure i take multivitamins and minerals. Theres one called immunace i got from boots, which has all the specific ones for the immune system.
I also take something probiotic. Either acidophilus, or those actimel drinks.
I also drink plenty of water because dehydration lowers the immune system, and rest up as much as possible.
When i do all this, i usually find the cold doesnt really develop

Re: getting sick!!
What Abbie said, or just lots and lots of vitamin C. Drink hot water with lemon juice in it (really good for clearing out the system anyway).

Re: getting sick!!
Lots of people come down with a cold before their op, I think it's all the stress and excitement. I had the same and just drank lots of water, vitamin c and rest as much as you can.

Plus nothing makes you worry about every tiny sneeze and sniffle than the thought that it might delay your op.
Keep warm and snuggly Smalls - good luck for Tuesday!

Re: getting sick!!
Thank you. I started drinking lots of water. N lemon tea. Hoping it helps. It doesn't seem to be getting worse so that's a good sign..I have to learn to relax and not stress so much

Re: getting sick!!
Hi - also those effervescent (?) vitamin C tablets are brill. At the first sign of any niggle I take one dissolved in water (tastes like tango!) & it always goes away - I was reeally paranoid before surgery too!
