Hi hunnie, I was a 36A, sometimes a not quite full B and I had 420's unders and I'm a 36DD at the moment, but they were also very high profile which does make a difference. So this sounds about rightfor you (see my stats underneath my avatar). The most important thing though is to trust your surgeon as he has done hundreds if not thousands of these procedures and should know which size to use to give you the look that you want to achieve.

What is worrying you - do you think the size of implant will get you to the size you want, or do you think they are too big or too small?

How many consultations have you had with your surgeon and is it possible to fit another one in to discuss your worries.

I was expecting my surgeon to say I would be having anatomical unders but was really shocked when he said I could have round - but I trusted him and so far 3 weeks on am more than happy with size and shape. Saying that I still had doubts on "rounds" and many sleepless nights but I knew that my surgeon understood the effect I wanted and he was the expert on how to achieve that look.

It is perfectly normal to worry - but I would ring to speak to someone or make another appointment. xx

Thank you for replying girls. I've seen my surgeon twice, the second appointment was to discuss size as I'm worried, I took along a picture of my friends breast (wearing a bra), she has implants and they are the size I want. My surgeon advised the 450 maybe 460cc which I was fine with and trust his judgement. But after this consultation my friend told me it was a padded push up bra which made her bigger!!!!! I really don't want to end up to big but then again I'd be disappointed if they was smaller than I want!! He hasn't discussed profile with me what is this??? I'm a small b and had two children so they look empty without a bra, I'm so excited as I've wanted this for 6 years but so worried as its a lot of money to not get what I want!!!! If I ended up an E I think it would look tooo big!!!

I started a 32A had 295 cc high profile round implants under the muscle and 3 weeks on am wearing a 34E bra (still a little swollen) hope to end up a 32D or DD - but 34E isn't huge anyway, it is the effect I used to get with a padded gel bra.

Maybe your friend wishes she had gone a little bigger - I hope I don't still end up buying padded bras after spending all this money.

Hi Jolene.
I was a 34b pre op and am now a 34e after having 420 cc overs although I am still in a sports bra as only 8 weeks post op.
I was advised by my PS that I could go for between 360-460 cc implants to achieve a DD and that the larger implants would give me more projection but still be about a DD (I have extra high projection nagors). So sounds to me your surgeon is right on size. Obviously if you go for a bigger implant you will have slightly more fullness, but 400-450 will give you a 34 DD-E I would guess. As the others have said, trust your surgeon as they know best. When it comes down to 400-450 there is not a great deal in it, but i was the same as you and panicked about choosing size right up till the last minute!! I thought that an E cup would be massive, but you soon get used to the size and they dont seem that big. The profile is to do with how much they project outwards. What the surgeon recommends will depend on how much breast tissue you have, how high you want the boobs and what will give you the look you want. I think another consultation would be a good idea if you are not sure and want clarification, but really as I've said your PS will decide on which implant will give you the look you want. Hope this helps hun xxx

Hi hunnie, I was an empty 34b / 32C (depending on bra make) and have just had 375cc anatomical unders. I'm wearing a 34DD sports bra at the moment and am hoping to end up a 32DD / 34D / 34DD (or if I'm honest, would be thrilled with a 34E, but will wait to see if the fluffing fairy arrives! hehe)

I also have quite a long chest (so quite a bit of space to fill), so I would think that with either of those sizes you should easily get a 34DD!

Good luck hunnie!

Pain is very personal to each person Jolene, some of us have a high threshold to pain, some of us a very low threshold. For me personally, I didn't have any pain from the operation, just soreness and tightness around the chest. However I did have a lot of back pain from having to lie in an inclined position for the first few days. The very first night I had a couple of pain killers as I started feeling twinges of pain and I didn't want it to get any worse, but those were the only pain killers I took. Other girls needed them regularly for the first few days.

Hey Hun, if you have a high pain tolerance you will be fine, I was!

As for size I started my boob journey just wanting a full C cup and my PS suggested 300cc (I was a 34b) but by the time my surgery day arrived I was begging my PS for 410cc, he was concerned going bigger than 380cc for me but agreed to try both and decide during the op. Thankfully I ended up with the 410cc and am currently in a 36dd sports bra (think I will end up a 34E) and i am soooo glad I did cause I have boob greed already!! At the mo I just look like I used to fully clothed as I lived in gel bra's although I am sure in a few more weeks I will be able to 'dress up' my puppies should I choose to!

All I can say is don't be too worried about being too big as any surgeon worth his salt wouldn't allow it.

I didn't have any pain my first time round either, just the tightness as Carol explained.

I started off a 34B aswell and had 410cc med/high profile under the muscle. I went to a 34DD but after another baby and loosing weight I am down to 34C :(

I also have to wear VERY padded pust up bras to get a bit of clevage, that's why today is the day of my 2nd boob job. Going bigger up to 605cc high profile so I know I won't be wishing I'd gone bigger (this is the biggest I can have)

Don't be scared of going too big, be scared of being too small and having to fork out another 4 n half grand a few years down the line!

My advice is always go the biggest you can or you will only end up 'I wish I'd gone bigger' It's not a good feeling!

Good luck with your choice luv.

Loubyroo thank you for the advice, I'm so glad I joined on here.
Toriloula that's exactly what I was thinking, it's better to be bigger than smaller and I'll know I'll get usedto them, I think I'm very nervous of peoples reaction though which is holding me back from saying blow it do the 450 cc, even though my surgeon says they will suit my profile fine!!!
Good luck today and congrats, let me know how it goes.

I must admit I went to see a friend today (she cuts my hair for me) who I haven't seen since a couple of days before my op, what with that, Xmas and New Year - ans she didn't say a word - just chatted away about family and Xmas and all that. I don't know if I was disappointed or pleased to be honest shrug after all I had gone from a 36A/B to a 36DD. Maybe she was just being polite :tears:

Hi heresjojo i'm thinking at least 420cc now after speaking to everyone, the only problem is height, weight and what your breasts are already like really makes a difference and i can't account for that, but i'm sure whatever i decide on will be great, my surgeon has already told me if i go for at least 400cc i won't be smaller than a D.
carol_s i'm guessing she was just being polite, i think i;d be dissapointed if people close to me didn't mention it, i think i'm overly worried about the school run and what my kids will say, i don't think they are old enough to understand but they are old enough to notice!!!!!

thats not true for everyone. I could have gone bigger, in fact my surgeon said maybe i should have, but id rather have an uplift than be bigger than i am. I had 420s and am a 30F/FF.

Hi abbie,
i think everyone is having their boobs done for different reasons, some people to go bigger, some because they have had kids and lost volume and feel they sag (thats me!!) and loads of other reasons.
I used to be a D before i had children and through breastfeeding and so i have lost two sizes, although my surgeon tells me they are not sagging like i think they are!!!
Personally i did think blow it might as well go biggest i can, but after further thinking i still want them to look as natural as they can, i feel a DD will be great its a shame they don't do them in bra sizes!!!!!
Also my partner is not overly keen on me having this op and he is worried about them being to big, i think this is putting extra pressure on me to not go bigger!!!
My eldest son who is 9 nearly ten is a big worry for me as well, he has asbergers and will not understand me having an op for this so don't feel i can explain to him, thus are thinking of going smaller so it's not so obvious to him!!! But then the worry is i won't be happy, just everybody else will!!!

yes same as my reasons. lost volume after having kids.
My son is the same age as you and has ASD too, and he didnt notice my boob job, or he hasnt said anything anyway.
Dont worry too much about 400s being too big. Its not small, but it wont make you massive either. Its a good size. Unless youre super skinny, i dont think it will look too big at all, and your husband wont be any different to any other man - worried in advance, thinks he prefers natural boobs, doesnt see the need etc, then you get them done and WHAM. he discovers the boob man inside himself that he never realised was there

Thank you so much abbie you are really reassuring me, i'm so worried about my son!!!! My surgeon said i could go to 450/460cc and it would suit my frame, i never thought this decision would cause me so many probs!!!! Im 5'7 and a size 10.
I'm not that worried about my partner i think he is more worried about the attention i'll get from other men than anything else, which is silly so i'm ignoring him ha ha xxx

If you asked to be first on the operating list - you could go in and out the same day without staying overnight, if that is what is worrying you about your son.

well im 5ft 6 and a size 10, so similar to you and definitely dont look too big,
Im a 30F/FF, which sounds massive, but if that was a 34 band it would only be the equivalent of a 34D or thereabouts.

A lot of men seem to think that if we get boobs, we're all of a sudden going to be wearing low cut tops and flaunting them at every opportunity, when for most people it isnt the case. It doesnt change who you are, in fact its a bit of an insult that theyre saying that they think men arent interested because youve got small boobs and thats how they want it to stay. its not as if men hate small boobs. Most men dont care
