Hi ladies!

Its the middle of the night here and Im sat in bed yet again with the laptop for the umpteenth time trying to sleep.... and its horrid...

I am now 4 weeks post op and my getting to sleep is getting worse and worse... and I am taking longer and longer to get to sleep at night :mornincoffee: :mornincoffee:

I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO TIRED but I cant sleep..

When I go to bed I just lie awake for hours and hours it was 5 am the other morning and I didnt get up til lunchtime!!! Thanks heavens Im a stay at home mum at the mo (of doggies and kitties!!! Kids grown up and flown the nest....) I would be fired from a job by now as I just wouldnt be able to get to work on time!!!!!

But I just lie there in the dark all hot and bothered mind racing on my back looking at the ceiling and it is sooooooooooooooooo depressing... Tonight it is 2 am and I am dreading switching off the light...

Did any of you ladies have this problem of sleeping after ba day and how long til you were back to normal???

I dont remember having this problem with my first ba 3 years ago!!!!

Anyway good night from a very sleepy

Lea xxx :mornincoffee:

I can sympathise with you Lea as I suffer from insomnia too - and like you, it can be 4 or 5 o'clock in the morning before I finally manage to drop off. Fortunately, for me at least, it seems to happen in fits and starts and might last for a couple of weeks and then I'll go back to sleeping normally again (which for me is around 6 hours per night). Hopefully it is only transitory for you and you will soon get back to your normal sleep pattern.

Same here. Have been on prescription sleeping tablets for a long time now and can't get to sleep without them.

Have you tried any of the herbal sleep teas? I use the Clipper one which could help xxx
