OMG, I decided I would wait for my 10 week postop appointment before I got measured properly, but today I 'stumbled' across a tape measure and just had too......blimey did I get a shock!!!!! Post op I was 36B and now I am 40D....no wonder I had to use bra extenders on all my 36D sports bra's.....hehe!!

I'm so glad I have'nt splashed out on all my new bra's yet.....I'm still going to wait til my appointment in 3 weeks and see if my ps predicts that I will go BIGGER still. I believe all the 'fluffing' and settling can take up to a year? Gulp!

I can't wait to see what my 'offical' measurement is going to be, although I don't really understand the cup measurements especailly as you say Misf1 that I could go to an E cup if I go back down the 36??

Thankyou to the boob fairy for visiting me before 2011....hehe!!

Happy New Year's eve Ang!!! i had my post-op check and been measured! i nearly fainted when i got measured and went to another store for a second opinion......34f!!! i nearly passed out, i couldn't believe it!!! i officially launched my boobs on boxing day..... i don't think i queued for a drink like everyone else, the barmen just kept coming to me. I'm pleased i finally did it and my parents can see how happy i am and they're pleased as well, although my brother has threatened to disown me if i do page 3 like i threatened i was going to do!!!!!! xx

Ribs???? I measured round my back and over my boobs!!! That's how I measured my original 36....my cup was a B and is now a D

measure under your boobs, round your ribcage, that should give you your band size, then measure round the fullest part of your boobs, then work out the difference in inches. each inch difference is one cup size

As a bra fitter the tape measure is my worst enemy! Lol bra's have elastic in the band so to get an accurate measurement from a tape you'd have to pull it INCREADABLY tight. The best thing to do is go to a store and ask for a fitting! I'll bet you end up in a 36E or even a 34F. I've yet to meet a woman who wears less than a size 20 that fits into a 40 band bra! Happy shopping hun x

Ok girls, just did another measurement....gulp!!

Under boobs/ribcage area - 34"
Fullest part of boobs - 42"

What the heck do these measurements mean then? Confused!!

I'm a dress size 12 (sometimes I need a 14 if small 12)

I seem to look in proportion with my new boobs though...hehe xx

by my calculations that makes you roughly a 34G more or less. Maybe a 36F

Congratulations!! you must b thrilled with your new measurements!! I'm 15 days post op after having 340cc & I've got serious boob greed! They look bigger out of clothes, but in clothes (especially as I'm wearing tight sports/support bras ) they dont seem any bigger to me:( Is it a myth or do they really get bigger over the next few weeks?! When I looked at the 410 implants with my ps they seemed so big, but now I'm wishing I'd been brave enough 2 have had them!!

Thanks Queenie, yes I am thrilled, I feel the same as you as far as they don't look much different under clothes when I have my sports bra on.

I thought it was a myth about the boob fairy too, but she certainly paid me a visit....

Your still quite early on but once they start to soften and drop that's when they seem to have a mind of their own -hehe!!

I still can't believe I've gone from a D to an F ....possible G
