Anyone had Nagor impleos for over 2 years??
Hi girls,
im back into my research so here goes with questions again :wavey:
just wanted to know whether anyone here has had the nagor impleo implants for over 2 years and how they are getting on with them? Seems this is the implant that many surgeons are now offering and is quite popular. In understand this is regarded as same standard asthe Allergan Naturalles. But the nagors havent been around for as long as Allergan?
Im just wondering whether it would be better to go with the brand that has been around for longer?
thanks RK xxx

Re: Anyone had Nagor impleos for over 2 years??
Hi RK
Ive just had impleos implanted about three weeks ago.. It is my second BA after having to get rid of PIP implants which I'd had for about three years as these are now considered defective.
I understand that currently they are a good brand to use and surgeons are using them. I was happy to have them inserted.
However it is personal choice and you are right to do your research!

Thanks for your reply Lea.
Good to hear you are happy with your new choice and that you have the PIPs out. i have read many ladies are now getting the Nagor, and the surgeon im going to is all for these implants as they have a lifetime guarentee against rupture aswell as CC - and says thats why he prefers these.
Yes just back into my research after backing out twice before, i want to keep positive and get through it this time!

Re: Anyone had Nagor impleos for over 2 years??
There was some talk about this by James McDiarmid (our resident BA surgeon who lives in the Surgeons sub forum). From what I can rememberm her rates both the Allergan and Nagor implants equally highly, but prefers to use the Nagors as they are:-
1 Made in the UK
2. The manufacturer listens to what the surgeons are giving back in feedback and making slight changes accordingly.
I'll see if I can find a link to the discussion.

thanks Carol. My surgeon also said they offer better lifetime guarentee for their paitents is why he prefers them.
i guess thats definitely peace of mind for me if other surgeons have similiar views. if you find the link would be great but i will do a search also.
thank you! xxx

Sorry RK, not been able to find it - I think it was Chicksville who asked him the question, but I'm damned if I can find it again.
Nothing to stop you asking James why he prefers Nagors over the Allergans though - he will give you a good explanation.

I don't know how to do the 'link' thing, but he talks about Nagor and Allergan in this thread here:

I've had Allergan myself, but mainly because my preferred PS used them (I would have been happy with Nagor too). Allergan has been approved in the USA by the FDA, but I think Nagor's are regarded as just as good (and offer the same guarantees) plus they're British made!
Hope that helps a bit!
