There's nothing anyone can do, I just want sympathy from people that will understand...I've lost all my pictures!

We transferred them on to our portable hard drive and its broken! So I'll never see my natural boobies again, or have any pics of my early progress nope

I know in the grand scheme of things it doesn't really matter, but I feel really gutted about it.

Hubby said he's going to take it apart and try and fix it but I don't think he's that hopeful.

Before he takes it apart, have you tried some of the recovery programs that are available??
I have used PhotoRescue to recover images from corrupt drives for friends. You can download the program and run it on the drive to see if it can find images, if it does, then you can pay for the program and then actually recover them.

I second trying a recovery program. I have used them on my digital camera before to retrieve deleted photos - they are never truly deleted! You might not get them all back but probably most of them. Try that first definitely!!!

thats my worst fear!! i never delete pics off my camera 'just incase' but also upload them ALL onto my comp...so my laptop is seriously slow but im too scared to try and move them all incase i lose them lol

This happened to me too! My daughter (22) deleted them by 'mistake' but to be fair I think seeing her mothers 'before' photos must have been very scarring and it was her camera. I hadnt heard of photorescue so will give it a try myself. I understand your pain Jem its quite frustrating isnt it?

Good Luck, really hope it works. I have an external drive, that I load things on. This way I know anyone, including the kids cant fall over them by accident on the PC.

Aw xx I totally sympathise xx I have done this twice myself and my OH has done it once xx from now on I only delete my photos from my camera once I've transferred them to a cd or dvd xx

this happened to me aswell all the pictures from age 16-20 were deleted, my ex was upgrading my computer and hes a computer man but managed to lose all the pictures :(. hopefully you can recover them x

would def try downloading a photo retreval site from internet - I haven't tried it but heard of others who have got pics back.

try using a back up disc next time that way you dont lose any important data or software on your computer xxx
