1 month post op pics uploaded today!!
Hi girls, Just thought I would post an update on my progress so far.
I am still having a little discomfort mainly underneath both boobs (where my sports bra sits 'ribcage area') the bra and band isn't tight but it's still a relief to take it off??? Not quite sure how that works..haha
I also still have sometimes a weird pain at side of boobs which are still tender most of the time. Nipples are sensitive a lot of the time and cannot bear anything touching them. But overall the discomfort isn't too bad and am ok apart from having very weird dreams about waking up and finding I've 'flattened' one of them and the other has drooped...arghh!!
I have taken a risk lately and slept without my sports bra because I cannot sleep with that horrible 'tight' feeling around the band area, thankfully I only had small implants so hopefully I'm not doing too much damage by getting a little respite at bedtime, even though I'm still having disturbed sleep because I'm worrying about them drooping or something because they are not supported, do you think I'm taking a risk or not? But I really can't bear it on, I have tried other light support bra and bra extenders, the lot but still I'm uncomfortable, why iwhen the bra band isn't tight at all? Strange one!!
Anyway, I've posted my pics 1 month post op, they have softened up nicely and dropped a little from my first post op pics and scars are looking very good so far. If you want to take a look pm me and I'll send you psswrd - if you have already seen my previous pics at picturetrail then just add a number 2 after the folder psswrd I gave you originally to view the new folder called (1 month post op). Let me know what you think girls, I still think my boobies are quite wide apart and wonder if they will EVER come together, they are softer now and so I will achieve a better cleavage once I get into 'normal' bra's but would have liked more of a natural cleavage without 'pushing' my little babies together!!!

Just had a quick look hun and I think they look really natural and settling really well. Sorry to hear about your uncomfortable sports bra, I'm guessing it will be 2 weeks and then you'll be in normal bras so it won't be too long hun xx
I'm still sleeping upright, too scared to sleep flat but found myself half way down the bed last night flat on my back so guess my body is trying to tell me something! It's crazy how we are so excited to have new boobies but darn't do anything incase we damage them!
Enjoy your new additions and have a fab time bra shopping in 2 weeks, right near christmas how fab!!

Could I have a look?
I found my post op bra a bit uncomfortable too, not because it was tight but just the materials against my tender skin 24hrs a day, so I wore a 100% cotton singlet/vest underneath it and it made it feel much better!

Thanks for letting me look Hun, they are very natural looking and your scars are very very neat
In my opinion there isn't a particularly wide gap between just a natural position, dont forget this will just be the natural position of your bust.

Had a little peek - I think they look really natural and have softened nicely and I think most people (even those with natural boobs) use a underwired bra to get cleavage.
I was most put out to discover my well endowed friend was buying the primark gel bras - should just be sold to those of us lacking in booby department (which in 13 days time I won't be one of)!!!!!

Hi, thnx for looking, yes, they seem to be settling ok…..I just want them to come a little closer that’s all.
I’m not due to see my ps until end of Jan which is more like 10 weeks rather than the 6 weeks most of the girls on here had the go ahead to come out of sports bra’s… so maybe I won’t be able to wear all the lovely bra’s my hubby has bought me for xmas.
I hope your continuing to heal well and looking forward to your 1st Christmas as a boobchick!!

Well Loubyroo, you could be right there because I never had a cleavage before but I was quite saggy, maybe because they are quite pert now it's just seemingly more of an obvious 'gap'.....but I'm still hoping!! xxLoubyroo wrote:Thanks for letting me look Hun, they are very natural looking and your scars are very very neat

Hiya Angbaby x
I like you are 4 weeks post op on Saturday and I am getting very similar problems to you. I find my sports bra very uncomfortable almost immediately I put it on - within 1/2 hr it feels like its digging into my ribcage and I have the same discomfort around the side of my ribs. Think it is probably bruising etc and maybe nerves knitting.
I was told by my PS that after 2 weeks I could sleep without a sports bra, I asked her would I be best to wear a support vest or something like that but she said no - as long as I continued to wear my sports bra during the day for 3 months. It is only after 3 months that I can wear a normal bra! All PS's are different so best to go by what your PS has said.
I too found sleeping on my back very hard - gives me terrible backache by the time 5 am comes! Asked my PS when I could like on my side and she said 3 months - can't wait for that day to come!
Could I have a look at your pics please hun - would be great to see.
Happy healing and lets hope this uncomfortable phase passes soon xxxxxxx

They are looking really really good, they have dropped and have taken on such a nice shape, you should be very happy! I am 9 wks post op now and mine are still changing, so I am sure you can still expect more change to come.
If your next appt is not until the 10wk mark perhaps you can call your ps or pc and see if you can wear bras once and a while once you get to the 6 week mark.
xx

Hi Angie
I had a look - they are looking really nice :) My PS told me that as I have a big gap between my boobs now, I will still have one when they are done. I don't think yours look gappy at all - just natural!

Aww thank you for taking a look and being so nice, if your 9 weeks and still seeing changes, are the changes always for the better? I love the shape of them now - other than the 'gappy' thing, I hope I'm still as happy with them after even MORE changes?? xx

I suppose it could be worse, on the whole I (and hopefully you) are healing quite nicely and shouldn't really be complaining, when some of the girls on here have had to deal with complications after their BA's .... xx
Oh it's so nice (not for you, same as me) to hear that someone is feeling the same sensations. I KNOW the sports bra's are not tight, because as my nurse tole me if I can get fingers underneath the band without straining then the band is still loose and not supporting the breast as it should, and I CAN get my fingers comfortably underneath the band, so now I have the thought my boobs are not being supported but I can't bear it any tighter to my skin. It's so strange!! Maybe, as you say, it's just my skin that's really sensitive and is just not comfortable with anything against it?derbylou wrote:I like you are 4 weeks post op on Saturday and I am getting very similar problems to you. For me the changes have always been good, I too kept thinking "I like them like this I dont want them to change" but I continue to like them better and better! They seem to look more natural in there shape each week, but they have also gotten a bit fuller!!
I am sure you will continue to be happy with them :flowers:
