Panic Over Sizes
I put my rice bags on today, this would be that first time in about a month, and they were massive. This has made me think that the size I had picked out i.e cup size is going to be way to big. I understand that rice bags is only a guidance and not to be relied apon.
I was hoping that I could be a 30DD/E and over the months was thinking maybe a D/DD but now after see myself in the mirror I'm thinking a full C/D. I was thinking a high profile would fill the emptiness in my breast and create a fuller my youthful look. I have never had any fullness to my breasts not even in a push up bra.
I have been offered 300cc but now I'm think that maybe something smaller would be better. I know that there a minimum difference in cc if I was to go down to 275cc but do you think a 250cc would take my to a C/D cup? I was told that the implants would be placed under the muscle so there is going to be some restriction so maybe stay with the 300cc.
I only have to wait another week to see the surgeon but my mind is racing because I've been looking at breasts on the internet tonight and am feeling a little panicky.
Do we all go through this?

Re: Panic Over Sizes
Yes - totally. You are not alone! I was a flat and saggy 32aa after breastfeeding two kids, and wanted to be a natural-looking b/c. my surgeon suggested 275 cc unders as the smallest i could start with because of my bwd and said i would end up 'roughly' that size. i said yes, then totally panicked because i couldn't find anyone who had had that size and ended up less than a d. rice bags seemed massive too. so i rang and begged him to order 250ccs even though he said they wouldn't fit entirely properly -- then on the day of the op i realised he was the expert and knew what he was doing and asked him to do what would fit and look right. he went with the 275ccs!
so far i'm in a 36c bra. once the swelling has gone down and i'm back to my normal band i expect i'll be a d/dd. but you know what? they look PERFECT. entirely the right size for me and natural looking. to anyone who doesn't know it looks like i've got a different bra on - unless i really choose to show them off.
i would suggest you talk again to your surgeon to make sure he understands what you want. but be reassured, i went through exactly the same thing and it was only the advice and experience of the girls on here -- annie, mellie and others -- that helped me not to drive myself nuts worrying about it.
good luck and don't panic!

Re: Panic Over Sizes
I think we all panic over sizes...I am worried mine won't be big enough! The best person to talk to about this will be your surgeon. As long as he knows the size and look you want, then it's best to leave it up to the professionals as they know what they're doing!
If you're seeing the surgeon in a week, try not to worry...it's much better to think about these things now than the day of surgery!!

Re: Panic Over Sizes
I know your right. I keep thinking about it over and over again. I looking at boobs all the time.
I read about women who have 420cc and they go to a C/D cup and i think how can that be if i'm having 300cc and that will take me to a E cup??? But i know different body types etc..
I think i should go to bed and stop looking at boobs.
p.s did AltBarbie ever find before and after pic for 700cc before size being a D cup? I was looking through many website pic and found this site and there is a ladie on here the same size as AB and she has 700cc.

Re: Panic Over Sizes
Hi Chicksville...Going off your pic on your avatar you are very similar in build to me pre-ba.
When I first decided to set the ball rolling pre-ba all I wanted was a bust, I was an empty A cup, I wanted to acheive a full B/C cup.
As the different size implants were handed to me the final one was a 330, I popped it in my sports bra and instantly got boob greed. I kind of decided there and then that this was the size I was having. My PS advised me that I should go home and try rice bags but he would order 330's and a smaller cc implant (cant remember what cc) as his opinion was that with the larger one I could possibly end up with a Victoria B eckham look but netherless he would try both sizes on the day and see which size would be most appropriate.
I went home and tried the rice bags and although 330's seemed massive I set my heart on them.
I ended up with what i wanted on the day of surgery because the smaller size which PS recommended didnt end up filling the loose skin i had from pregnancy and breastfeeding.
I ended up a D cup, a whole cup size bigger than I wanted to achieve at at the beginning, but still very natural looking.
The bizzarre thing is....It wasnt long before I was wishing I had pushed to go bigger, and yet I always wanted them to look natural.
It really is a difficult decision to make but I would say to go with the largest implant your surgeon is recommending....then no regrets wishing you had gone that bit bigger as it's surprizing how soon you get used to your new size...xxx

Re: Panic Over Sizes
I dont really know what to advise you regarding size chioce, but I do know we all seem to panic about size the closer we get to our big day. I on many occassions kept thinking I chose too big and I kept saying to my ps that maybe I should go with the 450cc and he kept saying 500cc so I trusted him, he ended up putting 540cc in and now if I could do it again I would go 600+cc!
I really think the rice test is no accurate and I dont think there is any way to really tell, the best thing is showing pics to your ps, and then trust that they know the look you want and that they can give you that. Although I now would go bigger my ps was spot on when giving me the look I wanted.
I am sure that you will be quite happy with your original selection of the 300cc.

Re: Panic Over Sizes
Hey hun!
I had 300cc under the muscle, i was a small B to start with and I am almost 8 weeks post op and I am a 12C or 10D (but i havent been measured properly yet)
I did the rice test before my op and it was no very accurate (they looked HEAPS bigger in the rice test than they are now)
I was offered 300cc/325cc to get my to a C cup, and i was like you (scared that they would be too big so i went with the 300cc) and if I could do it again I would go with the 325cc, dont get me wrong I love the size etc but i would go that tiny bit bigger if i had the chance again :)
I would go with what your surgeon suggests hun, they are the experts and he knows what look you are after....
Also Australian Bra sizes are different to UK, a C cup here is a D cup in the UK :) xx

Re: Panic Over Sizes
I too, like the other ladies contemplated about my size as my surgery date drew nearer. I thought maybe i should go smaller, maybe bigger, maybe its just right ???
Like you I started out as a 30B and had a size in my head that I wanted to be. My advice is that you should not be too fixated on a size because a D cup on one person may "look" different on another person with a D cup. I told my surgeon that I wanted to be a C cup but I also showed him pictures and tried on different cc's. I ended up a D cup but when I look in the mirror its exactly what I wanted. Your surgeon is taking a lot in to account. Like your height, weight, breast tissue. Trust your PS. If it'll make you feel more at ease, you should have another conversation about it with him.

Re: Panic Over Sizes
I'm sure your surgeon will put in whatever is going to be right for your frame. They can't guarantee a bra size as bras vary massively and most women end up being between at least 2 sizes! Cosmetic surgery is an art form, they spend their lives looking at bodies and deciding what size will work on which body. I ended up coming out of surgery with smaller implants than we had agreed on because the ones I wanted were just too big for my frame. I'm OVER THE MOON with my boob size and look exactly as I had told my surgeon I wanted to!
Have a little faith and try to relax, you'll be in good hands. I am excited for you, it's such an amazing experience waking up with the boobs you've always dreamed of.
Good luck, I look forward to reading your post op story. Hugs xox

Re: Panic Over Sizes
Awww chicksville, wait until you see your surgeon, you haven't seen this one before and he might have a whole different opinion to the other you've seen, so wait and see what is planned for you.
You've been around us all long enough to know the drill LOL take your pics in, wear a light top for sizing, don't talk 'cup sizes' with your surgeon discuss size of the breasts you want from the pics you're showing as you know all surgeons work in volume and take a notebook so you can write everything down and if you're happy with the surgeon book another consultation whether you feel you need one or not for just before your surgery date, you might not feel you need it now, but come the run up to the date for your surgery the feelings of panic are normal and it's good to have that additional reassurance.
Good luck with the consultation hun... looking forward to hearing all about it. You must be very excited to get a date for your surgery booked now! xx

Re: Panic Over Sizes
I was originally getting 300cc overs and on the day of surgery my ps suggested 340cc instead. I went with that and am glad I did. I think I would have thought my boobs were way too small with 300cc. I fit a 32F bra but don't think i look like am that size at all. I heard that with unders you end up losing a little size as well. I never tried rice boobies but have heard others say they look bigger than implants do. I would put your trust in your surgeon, as long as you're confident he knows what you want then you have to let the expert do his thing.

Re: Panic Over Sizes
I dont think the rice test is accurate at all. I did 300cc on the rice test and was scared because of how massive they looked, and during the op, my surgeon put in 420s and tbh, they dont really look particularly different to the 300cc rice boobies. I dont think its an accurate gauge of size because its so difficult to get the exact dimensions and profile with rice.
I think any of the sizes youve said would look good on your frame, and i dont think the 300s would be as massive as you might think

Yh and me, I panicked too just before the date as was worried my boobs would look to big. 7 months down the line I vary between 34 d/dd/e, and although I like them, I think I could have gone bigger. Your surgeon is the expert, you trust him so go with his advice hun xx

Re: Panic Over Sizes
Thanks everyone xx
Your right Cookie, I've read so many posts like this and thought to myself well I know what to expect so I wont be caught off guard. But I was bored with all this snow and thought to myself ' I know I'll pop my bags in and have a prance around in the mirror'.
But Holy Mother!! They looked massive. Then my mind got to racing and before I know it I was getting all worried that all these months of being cocksure of what I have been aiming at has gone out the window.
When I see this fella on 13th I'm not going to say that I've been offered 300's until he tells me his opinion and then I will ask. If he says 300'cc will get me the size I'm looking for then I'm happy.
After all that's what I'm paying them for xx

Well now Abbie, you have nice boobs x
I don't think that i would need a size that large i think 300 may do it but if i get told smaller i may go with that. They are going to be high profile so that may mke a difference.
Would it???

Re: Panic Over Sizes
See looking at that site (which I have looked at before) it's so confusing. I also think they measure the wrong final size as there is no way some of those girls are only one or two cup sizes larger afterwards!! But some girls have gone to a similar looking size with implants much smaller/larger. When I see those I think oh I will end up with a decent size with the implants I have been recommended, but then I see others have had double the size but had the same results!
So just shows you that really the PS knows best!

I didn't think they measured differently to us but judging by that site they must do!!! But more than the odd sizing is that they reckon she only went up 2 cup sizes?????
