Will my PS/Surgeon know if my implants will grow?
Hi girls
I don't actually mean 'grow', there just wasn't enough room to write what I wanted to.
I'm going for my 2 week post op check in an hour, and as some of you know, I've been feeling a little disappointed with the size of my implants... I had 470cc overs and I think they look way smaller than I thought they would...
My question is, will my nurse/surgeon be able to tell if my boobs will fill out or 'fluff', by looking at them?
I do wanna mention that I'm disappointed with the size... is this ok?

Dont know if they can tell, but may able to tell you by what point they would have expected it to occur.
Def menition you are unhappy with size, as if you dont and you raise it with them later it may be more tricky if they can say you were happy at 2 weeks.
Does that make sense? Mention anything you are concerned about, just to cover your back so to speak.

Hay Hun , you can metion it if you want to hun but your sooooearly on & you have alot off settleing & stretching to do.
I had 460cc & was also like you very dissapointed at 1st as they were not anywhere near as big as i was especting but mine have just kept growing!
I went out at my 6 week post-op mark & my parents brough me £150 worth of la senza bras in 32FF then a week ;ater my boobs had grown & i couldnt fit into them!
My boobs now ( 1 year down the line) have totqally settled & looking back at my post0op pics you can see how compact & small they were & how over just 3 months they skin had streched & they dropped & 'fluffed out & look way bigger now!
Its hard to imagine them increasing in size & when i was in the 1st 6 weeks i honestly couldnt get my head around the idea as i thought they felt soft so how are they going to increase in size
They just drop & fill out as the skin relaxes making them look alot bigger.

I think most surgeons will tell you that there is no such thing as fluffing and that you boobs will remain the same size as they are now. Which may be true.
But at 2 weeks, your skin hasn't stretched yet, your boobs will still be really high and you still have lots of changes to go through.
Now I'm not saying your boobs will grow or that you will even go up a cup size. However you still need to settle into a more natural boob shape. This will definatly happen. So while your boobs are settling they may appear bigger and different. They may even increase a cup size. It takes weeks and months for the changes to start and finish. Don't panic just yet about size. Mention to your PS about the size issue, but it's prob best to wait until 6 months post op before you to decide if you are unhappy

Re: Will my PS/Surgeon know if my implants will grow?
Hi Ruth, so sorry to hear of your initial disappointment, I really hope they will settle and become larger as your skin loosens to accommodate the new size
What did Michael say to you yesterday?? I am seeing him on Monday for a final chat before my operation on Tuesday, so I'm thinking perhaps I ought to ask him for a guarantee over minimum size. Does anybody know if this is possible?? xx

There are never any guarantees with this op hun. I'd just take in pics of the size you'd like to be and stress that you don't want to go any smaller than that size, your surgeon will then do their very best to give you as close as possible the look you're hoping for hun. xx

I've got a couple of images off the Allergan web site, but reticent about googling for other images as I don't want a whole pile of porn downloaded onto my computer
Thanks Cookie

Re: Will my PS/Surgeon know if my implants will grow?
Carol, I didn't see Michael yesterday, it was just the nurse, I had my dressings taken off and she informed me I can now take a shower, which was great! So now I don't have to wear my dressings :)
When is your op? If you get to see the surgeon before your op, I would definitely stress to him the minimum size you want, I wish I would have done that now!

Hi Ruth, I see him on Monday as he's down in Exeter that day, my op is the following day up in Bromsgrove.
Now all the dressings are off, how are they looking now hun, I should imagine that with tight dressings, you might appear to be smaller than you actually are.
Take care hunnie and hope things start to settle down more quickly now xx

Re: Will my PS/Surgeon know if my implants will grow?
I only had like big plasters on the actual incisions, no bandages as I had overs.
The scars are looking good really, still scabby and all that, but good for the fact its only 2 weeks post op.
The nurse said theres still a tiny bit of swelling on my boobs but that they should start settling soon, I'm just hoping they fluff out aswell, or I may be thinking of a re-op!
U feeling nervous? What size are you thinking of going to? Are you having overs or unders?

God, nervous isn't the word for it - in fact I don't think they've invented the word that describes the rollercoaster emotions I'm going through at the moment lol.
Michael knows I want to end up a D cup minimum, but he did say that if I went for the Allergan's he would be able to take me up to a DD - but I'm not sure if he meant the Inspira or the Anatomicals - which is one reason why I want to see him before the actual day. I'm now hoping either a DD minimum or hopefully an E.
Take care hunnie xx
