When I was at my consultation, I got told not to dye my hair for 6 weeks!! As any non-natural blonde will now, that's a life time.... Does any1 know why I'm not supposed dye the roots for 6 weeks?? Xx

As a hairdresser I have never heard that one before! There's this myth about not dying your hair while pregnant - also a load of rubbish!

Hmmmm wonder if it's anything to do with the risk of allergic reactions? It could be that after surgery your immune system is lowered and you could have a reaction?

It's not something I've heard of before. Was this something you were instrusted to do pre-op? and did your surgeon say why?

The only thing I could really find with any kind of expert opinion on the net was this HERE

Thanks girls!! My surgeon advised me not to dye it 4 at least 6 weeks and told me to dye it before surgery!! I've dyed it before but the colour has gone a little ginger (bloody typical) + I need re-dye it!! I'll give the nurse a ring later as I'm really sore on my right boob!! Xx

Seriously I have been hairdressing for over 20 years and have never heard anything like that! So many of my clients have had their boobs done, and it's never been a problem. If it was a face lift/eyes/anything on your face I could understand it due to stitches etc but don't worry!!

I've never heard of that one before! Can't see why it would be a problem shrug
