Miserable Empty Miserable

Post by hannah766 15th November 2010, 7:28 pm

Hi ladies
I'm feeling a bit miserable about my boobs. I have 'bottomed out' PIP's and went to see a surgeon and he said that basically my original surgeon not only put in cheap PIP's but too large one's for my small frame. Because of this they have fallen down and now has left me with what will be a difficult procedure to fix. He said he can only make the best out of a bad job, and so hopefully my boobs should look better but they will never look they way I want them to because of what my last surgeon (Alex Karidis) has done to me.
I also really wanted to go bigger this time but he said that I can't because I have such a small amount of breast tissue and basically the implants I have in now have stretched the small amount of tissue that I did have.
So, I'm a little bit miffed, I was hoping to get my boobs fixed and finally achieve the look I'm after, but have been told that it's impossible with my body and my messed up boobs I have now. I have 270cc behind the muscle PIP's and the surgeon wants to change them for extra high profile but the same size cc implant, which will be smaller in diameter than the PIP's but 1cm more projection. He will then pull up the crease of my breasts and do internal sutures to keep the implant where it should be so the nipples shouldn't be so high up.
It's a shame I can't put in photos up on here so you girls can see what my boobs look like now, and then see the after results!
So I'm feeling a bit fed up at the moment sad smile

You poor thing, i can understand partly how you feel. I had PIPs in for nearly 2 years then went to see my surgeon and he was confident just by look and feel that one had ruptured and after explant believed it had been like it for a long time. I am so sorry you are going through what you are going through. As long as your surgeon knows what you want he will do his best to get you there. I had a large ripple on the inside of my leftie, i asked my surgeon if he could make it go away and he said he wouldnt think so. After my op i noticed i could not feel it at all (partly i think because the silicone was better). They want you to be realistic about your results and expectations.

I know it is hard but keep your chin up and do everything in your power to ensure you have a good recovery, at least the hope is that they will be better than they are now. Wishing you all the best chick xx

Awww hunni, I don't have PIPs but I have experienced a rupture and the consequences of that leading to a much more invasive surgery to clear up the mess afterwards and having to live with the horrible damage caused by the rupture leading up to my op hun.

Try and stay positive hunni, I know it's difficult and you're prbably feeling like you're on an emotional rollercoaster just now, but it's your positivity that will see you through hun.

Ideally you wouldn't be needing a re-op but sadly you do hun, the great thing is that the PIPs will be removed and your surgeon sounds like someone who has your best interests at heart, knows what they're doing and will look after you ensuring that this time you get the BEST from your surgery sweetness.

Have faith hun. You're gonna be OK. Hug

Thanks ladies for your support. Feeling utterly fed up but am about to phone up Mybreast now and hopefully book my surgery date :cheerlead: How exciting! Soooo wish i could go bigger though. I'm hoping with better shaped breasts it may make my boobs seem bigger, even if I don't go up in cup size. I am a bit worried though as we are thinking of trying for a baby next year and am concerned how this will effect my newly revised bottomed out boobies. Will they drop again and go funny shaped? Or will I benefit as I have such little breast tissue? I shall have to ask my surgeon on the 2nd consultation. So many concerns!! disappoint

Yes I would speak to your surgeon about this hun, do you know if your pips have ruptured at all? If not you may be better off waiting until you have had a baby, then have your 2nd BA? Then again you don't want to be breast feeding (if you want to) with Pips do you.

I'm sorry you are going through this hun Miserable 571992 I have not been through what you are going through but I have just had a re-op to fix displacement of my left implant and even though my boobs are not perfect I can't tell you how much better I feel with the improvement I have - it really does make a difference hun even if they are not your perfect boobies, they will be close!

Hay hun ................Thanks for lettin me look at your pic's

I emailed you back & said that both my boobs look like your highest boob......I take it they have both bottomed out?.

Great to hear you have found a company to correct your B.A........Im not sure about wether its worth waiting till after you have had your next baby befire you have your B.A but its something i would definatly ask your new surgon as it dose in most cases have a 'effect' on you B.A & i think even more so if you have already bottomed out before.

I don't think this something even your surgeon can give you a guaranteed response to as only time will tell after you have you children.

I think you should mention your future plans to have children to your surgeon hun, but you should be aware that your surgeon has no control over the effects of what pregnancy could possibly do to your body.

You're in an unfortunate position having PIPs in that it's in your best interest to have them removed as early as possible sweetheart, so it's not like you have the option to wait until you've had your children before considering revision (well, you do, but it would mean constant checks to ensure they haven't ruptured).

I'd tell the surgeon of your plans hun, but I'd focus mainly on getting the PIPs out sweetie. Look after your boobs, keep them well moisturised and supported and hopefully they'll stand the strain of pregnancy.

Good luck at your next consultation hun. xx

As someone who has had 2 ba's and five
Children about to have 3rd ba. I would wait until
After having another baby. But you should speak to your surgeon re the pip's and breeastfeeding. It's a
Lot of money to pay to be unhappy after pregnancy and need them doing again.

Post by hannah766 26th November 2010, 4:56 pm

Thanks ladies for you comments.

I have now booked my surgery date (eeek!) for the 21st January. Now I have done so I am having second thoughts - hearing some of the comments about having kids, perhaps I should wait. What if I were to have my boobs done and finally achieving the look I like only to have children and for my breasts to loose shape and look undesirable again? BUT as you say cookie I have PIP's so really I don't have a choice. They are 8 year old implants and while they may be ok for the next 2-3 years, they are a horrible banned and potentially toxic implant, and so if I am able to breast feed, I won't want to do so with these implants, and what if one were to rupture during pregnancy? Also, we're thinking of trying for a baby the middle/end of next year, but that doesn't mean I'll fall pregnant straight away, therefore I could have end up having 10 year old PIP's and become pregnant. Even more of a risk. I think I don't really have a choice.
I may have just answered my own question and queries there!! :dunno: If by the time I have had my children and I'm left with saggy boobs, I will just be one of the many women who aren't happy with their breasts. At least I will know they haven't harmed my children and I don't have mattress filler inside me. :good:
