Re: my first big girl bra!!!
Lol!! That's what I did on Friday and told everybody I'd bought my first big girl bra! I had my op on 25th September and wanted to wear a particular dress so had to get a proper grown up bra
Thing was, I only get half hour lunch so could only pop down to Sainsburys. I bought a black plunge bra for £7 but had 25% off. Wasn't sure what size, so tried a C and a D cup on and was thrilled to bits when I returned the C cup one and bought the D!!!!
It is underwired, but very comfortable. I am going to get measured next weekend and choose a couple more. :boobchick:

If you've been given the go ahead by your surgeon to wear normal bras now hun then yes, underwires are just fine.
A good bra to buy is one that fits properly. You need to be fitted and buy yourself a bra in the right size for your new boobs.
Many ladies find Bravassimo the best place for their first fit hun, you just make an appointment and they'll do the rest when you go in sweetie.
If you don't want to go to Bravissimo or there isn't one near you then if you have a specialised lingerie shop they're just as good. Then you have your department stores like Debenhams or M&S babe.
Enjoy your 1st fitting. It's soooooooooo exciting when you go to buy your first lovely bras after being stuck in sportsbras for so long, you'll feel wonderful! :boobchick: xx

Re: my first big girl bra!!!
Around 6 week post-op we accepted the invite to go to a wedding at the last minute and had days to get all the family new outfits...on the morning of the event i realised i needed a bra! I was tied up at home getting myself and kids ready so i had to send my hubby out to get me one in my guesstimated size of 34c. He came back with an ivory, slightly padded, underwired bra with matching briefs...it was gorgeous and fit perfect. Unfortunately it only fit me for 2 weeks and then i had to buy 34d...bonus!...x
