Re: do you think
If you've been told not to wear underwires for 6 weeks post-op then I wouldn't risk my recovery for the sake of a night out.
I remember after my 1st BA which was four year ago now I wanted to ditch the sportsbra at 4 wks post-op for a night out and was told by my clinic that I was not to wear any underwires, but it would be fine to go braless for a couple of hours.
This was on the advice of 'my' clinic though based on seeing 'my' healing progress first.
If I were in your position and you're asking me to be honest hunni, if I couldn't get the green light from my surgeon after being reassured that I was OK to go braless after seeing me then I'd wait.. you have the rest of your days after your recovery to show off the new you. xx

Re: do you think
I wouldn't, sorry. I just didn't want to take any risks with my healing, and I would've found it too uncomfortable to wear wires at 4 weeks anyway.

Re: do you think
I have a night out planned and I will still be with-in my 6 weeks - I am selecting outfits only that can hide my sports bra....so personally I wouldn't risk it! I am doing everything I can to avoid complications this time around x

It's Christmas next months and you'll have loads of parties to show them off at but one slip up now could ruin it.
Best wait x

Re: do you think
Hey hun, I wore a normal bra one night at 2 weeks post-op! Very naughty I know but it was totally fine. I put cotton wool over my incisions incase the wires hurt me. It was totally comfortable.
I had a post-op appointment at 4 weeks post-op, and my nurse said to me that it would be OK to wear a normal bra just for the odd night out before the 6 week mark, but sports bra the more the better.
I'm sure you wanted to hear this :)

Hey hun! I was told at my 2 week checkup that it would be ok to go bra-less for a few hours for a 1 off thing (I had a wedding so I didnt wear a bra for a few hours) but I put my sports bra back on for the reception as I was not feeling very comfortable xx
