Post op check up - so depressed! Empty Post op check up - so depressed!

Post by Josephine 2nd November 2010, 12:57 pm

Just had my post op check and according to the nurse I've only gone up one cup size, WTF???! I'm not even a full c but just a c. When I voiced my concern I was completely fobbed off. So not happy, £4k for one cup size!!! What the hell. I asked whether they would go bigger once they drop and she said that's just fabricated stories and that no one goes bigger after the op. I told the nurse to log my complaint but she seems to think it's all my fault, really not happy. I'm with transform, has anyone else voiced concern about size with them? Is there anything I can do? I'm a very upset still small chested bunny xxx

Josephine,
I'm sorry to hear that you're disappointed. How long post-op are you?

"she said that's just fabricated stories and that no one goes bigger after the op"
There are lots of girls on this site that will tell you otherwise, and have the photos to back it up!!! Some girls went upto 3 cup sizes bigger once their boobs had fully dropped after surgery. Mine have gone bigger from week 1 to week 5. They don't just look bigger, I don't actually fit into the post-op bra that I first used. So your nurse is WRONG huni.
What size were you before, and what implant did you have? x

Are you happy with the look of them? thats the most important thing size is just a number :)
I dont think she was right about them not going bigger cause loads of girls have had to change their bra sizes. Mine havnt changed size but look alot bigger when they dropped and changed shape

I was a 34b pre op so only gone up one cup size according to the nurse, booo!!! She said the only reason you would increased in size is if you put on weight!! I only went with small implants -230 and 260 - but I had overs and seen girls with that size of implanta go to a dd. Xxx

Give it atleast another 6 weeks before you get measured again hun, so many changes to go through yet. I doubt you'll end up only one size bigger x

What size were you hoping for Josephine? The girls ending up a DD probably had a smaller back size than a 34 to be honest.

But I agree with tanyajade totally that your nurse is Wrong! They go through alot of changes in the first few weeks and beyond, I was in an E after my op and am now a G 6 weeks later, it doesn't happen for everyone but it's certainly possible.

I was a 34 a/b before hun and I had 375cc anatomical overs I'm now a 34 DD. Like Littlewisher said though size is only a number and it depends if you're happy with how they actually look.
Give it time though as the nurse is wrong you'll go through so many changes over the following months. xxx

Agree with others - were you happy with them until the nurse told you a measurement. Have you got any before photos to compare them with and what size increase did you tell your surgeon you were hoping for? Hoping they do drop/fluff regardless of that nurse's opinion. x

I don't understand this!? They tell you NOT to get measured before 6 weeks as there are so many changes during this time so why would the nurse measure you and tell you that is your final size...I would be saying WTF!! too!! I don't believe for one minute you have only jumped up 1 cupsize....how did she measure you anyway? your boobs haven't even settled into their pockets yet...it's too early!! Chin up sweetheart x x

I really wouldn't go off what he nurse has said, for a start is she a bra fitter or has she jus a tape measure out? I only 'measure' a D/DD but have to get F cup bra's as our 'falsies' sill bra's completelydfferently.

Don't listen to her and give it 6-8 weeks then go and get fitter for a bra at Bravissimo or somewhere reputable - but not M&S they are pants. They said I needed 36 back when I only wear a 30 back! x

Hi girlies,

I just wanted to thank you all for your lovely comments, so sweet! The nurse didn't actually measure me but just looked at them and said "yep, you've gone up one cup size and you're a C now, not even a full one!" I so hope they will fluff a bit. I don't expect them to become humongous but would be nice to be a full C, small D. That's what I wanted. If any of you lovely ladies have had 260cc or thereabouts would you mind if I had a look at your pics to put my mind at ease? xxx

Pay no attention to the nurse huni I wore 34dd/e sports bras then I got fitted to 32E at 5 weeks and got fitted again to 32F/30FF at 7 weeks and I had overs and I certainly haven't put on any weight infact I've lost half a stone since my first fitting. I haven't seen anyones pics who haven't got bigger with unders after the first few weeks xx

sorry should have said a bit more. I had overs which are supposed to change a bit less than unders, and mine changed loads. It's far to early to see what size you are and you cant tell just by looking/guessing. If you would like to see my pics hun, I'd be more than happy to show you, as you can clearly see all the stages in my pics, how much they change and how much bigger they seemed to get, just pm me.

I really wouldn't get too concerned yet about the nurse's opinion!! I finally saw my surgeon last week for my belated 3 mth check ( my and my kids illness stopped me going the last two appointments!!!) He was very pleased with them, saying ''what size bra are you now, a DD?'' I smugly replied ''no, a G!!''

Point made!!
