Implant revicion with uplift
Hi! I am currently looking to have a breast lift with saline implant removal from 1996 with one implant deflated (above the muscle). I think I want to go under the muscle with silicone this time. Any suggestions, or prices from another country with doctors that can be recommended? Prices so far are sounding expensive in the US. Have my first consultaion for new procedures on 11/4/10.
Thanks!.
Thanks!.

Good luck with your first consultation hun. is that one in the US?
Firstly your surgeon will be the best person to choose your placement hun, the correct placement is the one that best suits your body, choosing the worng placement can cause possible complications.

Secondly, when considering surgery abroad, you really have to consider your after-care and do a lot of research! Make sure you know your surgeon is fully qualified, check and double check! and look for patient reviews and ask for before and after pics! Not every country has the same standards as your own and it's up to you to ensure you do your homework!
You need to know would be covered for a free re-op should you suffer a complication - With any surgery there are always risks and breast augmentation surgery is no exception - If you were to have no cover and no funds available to you to cover a re-op yourself, you could well find yourself at the mercy of your own hospital in the US costing you a heck of a lot of money! You need to consider where all of your post-op check-ups will take place. When you make enquiries about your treatment, ask how complications would be handled and what would happen if you needed revision surgery after the original procedure. If there is a complication you need to consider how easily you can travel back to the hospital where you had your surgery and who will cover the accomodation costs?... air fares will also need to be taken into consideration - so will your clinic/surgeon be paying for accomodation, travel, hospital costs and your surgeons fees should you require a revision?.
Sorry if that sounds scary hunni, but you do need be aware of the risks when having surgery abroad and although you may initially save money, in the long haul should you be unfortaunate to suffer a complication you could well find it much more expensive than you would have to have your surgery close to yourself with a good surgeon and a guaranteed after-care policy in place.

There is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all approach in breast augmentation.
I see examples of work from clinics where they almost exclusively go behind the muscle and vice-versa.
The truth here is that the most important choices in breast augmentation (size, shape, pocket and incision) should be tailored for each individual patient.
Clinics who do exclusively subglandular BA will produce a proportion of patients who have visible rippling, implant edge visibility and palpability issues.
Clinics who do exclusively submuscular (or dual plane) BA will produce a proportion of patients with double-bubble deformity - if not immediately then quite possibly over the first 10 years postop as the implant sticks high up and the breast gland droops with age/pregnancy/weight loss.
