Bit down Empty Bit down

Post by Decisions 27th October 2010, 5:42 am

So I have been a bit down this week, I went for my checkup yesterday and everything is looking great and healing well so I am happy with that, although I cant help but thinking I should have gone bigger....
It has only been two weeks and I measured a C cup today (I tired on some non-underwire bras) which is what I originally asked to be (a C cup....)
I went under the muscle so I am hoping they fluff, but I have this terrible thought in the back of my head that I went too small and should have gotten the 325cc like my surgeon suggested.... its actually the worst feeling because I spent $11,000 and it is making me really down that I might have made the wrong decision..... Has anyone else had this experience? Maybe I am just being emotional (its that time of the month) but its all i think about.... I think because most girls these days get pretty big implants so mine are pretty Insignificant in comparison :(
I am REALLY hoping this feeling goes away though (sorry for the complain ladies I just needed to get it off my chest)

Awww hunni c'mere Hug

Firstly, avoid measuring yourself this early post-op. I know how anxious you are to know your sizing but what you have at the moment isn't what you will result in. Your boobs will still be sat high and possibly have swelling and will need to drop and settle filling out the lower pole of the breast - Trust me hunni, it's not at all unusual for ladies to experience boob greed early post-op which does mostly settle once you've gotten used to your new additions and given them time to relax.

You're also probably suffering a little post-op blues too sweeheart, which again is very common, try not to focus on what other woman have had and concentrate on getting yourself back to normal hunni.

It might help you to read this thread [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] babe to know that you're not at all alone and everything you're feeling is normal early post-op, along with other things to expect. xx

hi hun,

Your feelings are perfectly normal at this stage (I assume you are fairly early post op?). It is very normal to feel emotional and question your decision early on. Your boobs are new and have a lot of changes to go through yet, a BA is a long journey both physically and emotionally, I never realised how long it would take to love my boobs.

I don't know anyone who had 300cc end up with under a D cup so i think you will be pleasantly surprised with the size when they settle. Plus I really don't think 25cc would have made a huge amount of difference, they may have just been a couple of milimetres wider or something.

I think it is completely normal to feel how you feel, so many of us have boobie greed.

I dont think you can say you make the wrong decision I am sure that even with the 300cc there is a wonderful improvement and I am sure your new boobs look great.

Now I am not positive but I think that there is a difference between Aussie and UK sizing so to say you are a C here means bigger in the UK being a D or DD.

And I think you are wearing the same post op bra as me and it is horrible for looks! It makes them flat... once you get into a good bra you will surely feel better and imagine how they will look in a push up bra! Flash

Thank you so much for the reassurance girls :) I thought I got off lightly with the blues but it seems to be hitting me now (typical!!) but after reading all the posts I feel so much better! It has only been two weeks today, they are still like rocks so they will be changing heaps no doubt!!!
That’s so true Sarah, I went to the shops today and caught a glimpse of my reflection and my top half looked so flat (due to the unflattering bra!!!) I will just have to wait it out and stay positive when I think about the end results!
Thanks so much for all the kind words they have lifted my spirits so much :) I actually don’t know what I would do without this forum!!!
xx :)

You have so many changes to come and when people told me that 2 months ago I was like yeah right but only the other night I was looking through pics of my BA journey and I could not believe how different they are from day after to week after to a month after......just hold on in there and I promise give it 3 months you'll be over the moon with your new breast friends x

Whenever I feel like I didn't go big enough I look at the pictures of my old boobies and sit back and smile at the improvement and I also look at the picture I took in to my surgeon of how I wanted to look and I am a little bigger than that so I realise I don't have anything to be upset about after all xx

aw hun my boobs were still getting bigger at 6 weeks post op! At 6 weeks i went out & my parent brought me aload of really nice bra sets from la senza in 32FF but with in a week or 2 of wearing them they were two small & im now in 32G or 30 G bras! I was in total shock as i wasnt exspecting them to get bigger or change so much at the 6 week mark but it can take upto a year for them to fully settle!

you had unders to so at the mo your muscles are scwishing the implant & compacting it............in time your muscles will relax & stretch ( fluffing as it were!) & your boobs will become bigger as the implant has room to fill out more & youll be amazed at what size youll be in the end Hug
