Hope your consultation goes well xx i didn't really know how to tell my parents. We don't really talk about private things so it was a bit strange. I have chickened out a bit though, I've only told my mum xx

Re: omg first cousultation
Hope the consultation goes well sweetness. Why don'tt you invite your parents along to the consultation? that way they might feel reassured from the advice and opinions given by the surgeon and be able to ask their own questions if they wanted some reassurance. xx
Re: omg first cousultation
Hi Kat86 congrats on booking your consultation.
I know what you mean re parents I can talk to mine about most things but didnt feel they would understand about my BA (or spending the money on it) so i decided not to tell them till afterwards then it was too late for them to do anything about it. Turned ou they were totally fine and VERY understanding, in hindsight i wish id told them before for the support.
Try them sweets they might surprise you, after all they will just want you to be happy :)

hi Kat86
I'm due for my first patient coordinator meeting on Thursday at MYA in cardiff. I'm a little nervous. My mum is coming with me but my dad is dead set against it, he thinks i'm perfect as i am. I've only told my manager in work to ensure i get time off which is fine. I don't really care what my dad thinks as it's my body and its what will give me my confidence back. i was a 36c and went on a diet and i've lost all the weight off my boobs so i'm down to a 32a/b so this is for me as i'm not allowing myself to put the weight back on!!! hope it goes well for you!!! xx

Hi,
Good luck with your consultation. Mr Khan was my surgeon, he's fab!
My mum was okay with it once I explained my reasons behind it and she came to my nurse appointment with me for my pre op check up.
My dad still doesn't know I've had them done

My appointment is 2pm tomorrow, i have to be in Cardiff 15mins before though to fill in a questionnaire. I shall let you all know how it goes. Im getting quite anxious now though as i've wanted one since i was 14 but never had the gutts to do it. this is the furthest i've got. Should i try several different companies to see what the difference is? i've not done a lot of research other than the free brochures they send out. My manager is work is really supportive as her sister had one done for medical reasons and she's already told me she'll sign me off as on sick for a medical operation even though this is a non-necessary operation as they class it. My dads still apprehensive but tough! he has to deal with it!!!! xx
