rice test - freaking out now
OMG I have no boobs to speak of!! I am 28 under the ribs, which makes me a 32? then measure my boobs and thats a 32 so whats that? a 32 a or aa. Anyway done the rice test last night. I was upset after a surgeon recommended a 240 for me, and decided the only way to see was the rice!!!
OMG I am freaked out honest to god, ?Im thinking why did I not try the rice test from day one then I would know what I want. I have been adamant I want my boobs done now after doing the test Im thinking, omg do I really. The 250 gm were a couple of sizes up I reckon a c? I tried the 300 gm and it was so so heavy to me and looked so big, I thought god that surgeon was right enough. What I hadnt thought about or even considered was the weight on my chest which I have never had arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
I do a lot of classes at the gym and the 300 just felt , well a hinderance?????????/
i am so upset with myself now!!! Is this natural to feel this way, cause for years and years I have felt like a freak with no boobs and havent been able to wear lovely tight tops as I looked awful (its bad enough at the gym!) and I Have always and I mean always moaned about wanting boobs to feel like a woman. And I still do................ but Im freaking out

Re: rice test - freaking out now
Implants don't really weigh much hun. There's a useful way to work it out
I never tried the rice test but most people who have on here have said that the results from that are bigger than the results from implants.
They're really not that heavy at all hun.
<blockquote>Use the following formula if silicone was used. Multiply the number of cubic centimeters by two, then multiply that number by .0375 (which is the weight in ounces of each cc of silicone).
So, if you have 400 ccs of silicone per breast there are 800 ccs total.
800 ccs multiplied by .0375 equals 30.
30 divided by 16 (ounces) is 1.875.
This means your total breast implant weight is 1.875 pounds.

28 under and 32 over actually makes you a 28D. When youve got a small band size, the cup size looks a lot smaller than you might imagine.
I found the rice test useless. I did the rice test with 300g of rice and it didnt look much different to my 420cc implants. I think its because its nearly impossible to get the projection accurate with rice boobs

Re: rice test - freaking out now
Once the implants are in your body you can't feel the weight at all, my rice boobs were terrible, they were weighing the bra down so much I couldn't even keep them in the right place! But it's not like that at all really. xx

Re: rice test - freaking out now
No need to freak Dimpledee, I had 540cc and while I felt them the first few days now I dont notice them at all, they really arent heavy. I freaked out about size pre op for weeks, and really If you feel that you have conveyed to your ps what you want such as with pictures ect then you have to trust them that they will advise you to the correct size.
Good luck!
Good luck!

Re: rice test - freaking out now
dimpledee the cup on a 32a is the same size as the cup on a 28d (I think!) so you probably could fit a 28d.
It's like me, before my ba I wore a 32c, but I didn't look like I had much boobs at all for my frame, it's the same cupsize as a 34b or a 36a....
Anyway I wouldn't trust the rice test personally, it makes them look alot bigger, just go wth what your surgeon recommends after you've explained what you want. Good luck xx

Re: rice test - freaking out now
you shouldnt be wearing a 32 back with a 28 rib cage. Im a 29 rib cage and i wear a 30. A 32 rides up my back.
If i were you, id go to debenhams or marks and spencers and try a 28d. You might be surprised.
Adding 4 or 5 is an outdated way to measure, and the reason why they say 70% of women in the UK wear the wrong bra size. You wont be getting the right support.

Re: rice test - freaking out now
if your bra doesnt fit well at the moment, its not such a big deal, but after your BA it will be important to wear it correctly fitting asyoull need the support more. When youve got small boobies its more about the comfort.
If I went by the old fashioned way of measuring it would make me a 34C but im not at all, im a 30F. Thats what ive been fitted as and what I measured myself as.
You measure your rib cage and thats your band size, and then you meausre the fullest part, and calculate the difference, each inch difference is a cup size

Dee - what you have to try and get your head around is a 28D is a lot smaller than a say 34D I have been struggling to get my husband to understand that if after my op I measure a F or a FF cupsize I won't look like jordan because my back is actually 28" :good: It's a mind field all this measuring business lol!! x

Re: rice test - freaking out now
your best bet is to take that size and a few sizes around it into the changing room, then ask the assistant whether it looks like a good fit, rather than get them to measure you with a tape measure, cos most of them dont even do that anymore. The band should be tight - probably tighter than youre used to, but you do get used to it quite quickly. It shouldnt be uncomfortable though. You should be able to get a few fingers under the band,
