"guitar strings" under armpits

Hi i was wondering if anyone else has noticed this before.
I have just noticed that when i stretch my arm out to the side i have these tight strings that feel like guitar strings in my armpit. Its really freaky and discusting! It doesnt really hurt, its just really weird.
I had my implants put in through the armpit so i think its probably something that might only happen whith this type of incision but i would love to hear back from any of you who might have been through this or heard of it before. Thanks

i had my implant in the breast crease, but since my BA I have kind of like a tendon in my armpit, like my armpit is more hollow than it was before, and it makes shaving a pain in the neck

Oh right, it sounds like what i have but mine are really thin like the actual thickness of a guitar string and i think there is like 4 or 5 of them. Thats kind of good to know that it must happen to other people too so it must be normal..... i hope!

That's what I have as well, it's so annoying isn't it trying to shave under your arms, it's so much harder than before, ha! x

I had Mondors cord under both incisions and I freaked but the PS said it would go away on it's own and it did. He told me they are swollen blood vessels.

Hey Katita, how long did it take before it went away? and did you get told to massage the cords? It makes me so squeemish! sick

No I was told to do nothing and they just dissapeared after about 6 weeks.

I couldnt even LOOK at mine let alone touch them - i am sooo squemish about things like that, then they just disappeared hurrah

I had these too, underneath my boobs. I was told to massage them. They were gone within a couple of weeks.

I had this to like Maria under my boobs about 10days post op but mine hurt like hell! i was in agony so its good to hear yours are not causing you any pain! Mine was like a stingy vein pain......errr horrible but after reading up & one day of using ice on them they settle right down........mine would flare up half way through the day or evening time or if i over did things in the 1st few weeks but have not had them since.

Mine didn't hurt unless I stretched them too much, and then they did. I thought they looked horrible and thought I'd have them forever. Was so relieved when they went.

Im the same, they kinda ache if i try and lift something or stretch my arms out.
