I am 3 days post op (its evening now so 3.5 days lol) and I have not taken any strong pain pills since 6am yet I am still out of it... I feel foggy and get dizzy when walking around and my tummy is still yucky!

Other than that I feel fine I am just wondering if even after stopping the pain meds you felt groggy for a while?

Thanks Ladies! xx

It will take time for the GA and pain meds to get out of your system sarahdawn. And you are only 3 days post op, it's easy to expect too much of yourself. Try to chill and take things as they come.

Congrats Sarah! congrats

You're fine hun. As Kittie said, it takes a little time for the effects of the GA to wear off.

Get plenty of rest, drink lots of water and take things easy till you feel a little stronger. xxx

I was sleepy for a week hun! 2 of my friends came to visit me on day 2 postop and I fell asleep mid conversation haha! It'll take a few days to get back 2 normal! Keep your fluid intake up, helps flush the GA out of your system! Congrats on boobies!!x

What meds were you taking? Codeine can cause those symptoms. I would stick to paracetomal/ibuprofen hun. 3 days post op is still very early. I didnt feel normal until 2 weeks post op x

You've done the right thing switching to paracetamol if you can, it has less side-effects and will help you get back on track. Coke could work as well as water I think, the sugar will help perk you up. Just rest lots and don't expect too much of yourself. xxx

I was also told by my PS to also do deep breathing every few hours for a min or so. Breathing in & out deeply helps to expell the GA  x

I had a scirpt for anti sickness meds which did help a bit with the sick tummy but they make me so tired then groggy in the morning... so today I am officially taking my self off all meds (except the anibiotics of course) Lets hope a clear mind and tummy by tomorrow! xx

Yes it's the GA , keep up the fluids to flush out your system and sleep if you are sleepy, it's your body telling you to rest, It will pass and you'll wonder if it really was that bad at all.
