Had a horrible day
I've had such a stressfull day, well yesterday I started feeling a bit worried about my left boob, it felt tender and I couldn't decide if it was a bit bigger? I thought it was. And the last few days I've had a bad chesty cough and been feeling hot and cold, so in the back of my mind I was thinking what if it's an infection around my implant, but that's so scary I just tried to forget about it.
This morning I undressed to have my bath and some fluid and a bit of blood came out my scar, a tiny bit, but I freaked out. I was just like Oh my God I've got an infection, that's why I've been hot, and it's been sore, and bigger, I'm going to have to have more surgery, what if they have to remove it.
I had trouble getting through to the clinic or my nurse, nobody was answering and I just didn't know what to do, I didn't even want to put my top back on cos I thought I shouldn't touch it, so I had to call the emergency number. When a nurse finally answered I burst in to tears I could hardly get my words out to tell her my name!
Anyway my own nurse called me back and said I should go to the clinic, which took about 3 hours to get there cos of tube strikes, a nurse and a surgeon had a look and said it's not infected... phew
I feel so drained by all the worry and travel today, I was poorly anyway and my boob's still sore, I'm glad I went up there to put my mind at rest, but feel quite emotional about it all. :pale:

Re: Had a horrible day
Hope you are feeling reassured now - sometimes when you have a cough you feel like you have bruised ribs, after a BA that most feel even worse. (I once put a rib out of place through coughing so much).
I don't think that you over reacted, this for most of us is new experience - one which has taken great courage to see through (I burst into tears just talking to a lady at Transform about an appointment). Tomorrow is another day - hope you will feel much better. x

Re: Had a horrible day
Oh dear hun I know EXACTLY what your going through. Except when I called the emerg number,.,...no one answered ever! It was the office phone!!! I then was in emergency at the hospital...had iv therapy and a swab (they thought it was for sure infected) so i was on the iv for 4 days! Ahh and then when my surgeon finally opened 5 days later (after the long weekend) turns out the swabs were clean... :good: ! I remember seeing the fluid and nearly fainting.

Re: Had a horrible day
it was so scary, I thought I was past the worrying part being over 2 weeks post op, so it was such a shock to have all that happen yesterday. And a big reminder that I've had real surgery only a couple of weeks ago.
