Going Back to the gym?
Hi everyone
How have you post op ladies found it getting back into exercise?
I feel like ive put on a few pound since my re-op nearly 7 weeks ago and im keen to get back to fitness but i don't want to over do it. I usually run, but tried on sunday( just gentle one min walk one min run for 20 mins) but it felt wierd still. Tried some very light weights on monday but my boobs really ached yesterday so im thinking its too soon?Either that or they are just not used to it?
Anyone got any tips on what they found ok to do?
I starting feel down not exercising but i dont want to upset the boobies healing
Thanks xxx

Re: Going Back to the gym?
Maybe your boobs just ache because you have got SOME now - just a thought as I know how uncomfortable horse riding was when I went back 6 weeks after giving birth, with bouncing breastfeeding boobs. Maybe you just need to get used to having something jiggling - were you wearing a sports bra? x

Ha yes maybe it's the jiggling! Can't imagine horse riding! Have a sports bra maybe just too soon

I think it takes a while to get back into it, a little at a time and gradually build it up.

I agree with misf1, you will have lost some fitness from being away for 7 weeks so ease yourself in, try just walking on the flat first, then on an incline and then try running in short bursts to see how your boobies feel. I would avoid too much weights for your upper body, maybe try lower body first and slowly introduce abs then arms. I have put on some weight too so know exactly how you feel, cant wait to burn it off xx
