I feel sooo scruffy!!!
I hate not being able to shower properly! I'm using baby wipes to freshen up because I can't have a proper shower, and I can't take my sports bra off!
My hair is greasy and even my skin feels really oily for some reason! Thought BA's were meant to make you feel sexier? LOL...
Any tips on how I can feel cleaner, without having a full shower? xx

Re: I feel sooo scruffy!!!
Can you try some dry shampoo spray? it works really well in-between hair washes, dries up all the grease yuk!! but it would at least freshen your hair up a little. x

Re: I feel sooo scruffy!!!
I was having half-baths for the first week, so basicly a shallow bath not getting wet above my tummy, and then getting out and washing my hair and face leaning over the bath, I started doing it on the second or third day I think, then every other day (cos it is hard work!) I couldn't bear not having baths!
You could do the same in the shower if you feel up to it.
After my 1 week check I was told I could bath/shower again and just dry my steri-strips with a hair dryer afterwards.

Re: I feel sooo scruffy!!!
Oh god, I know! I am not allowed till after i see the nurse tomorrow. TEN DAYS!
I swear I have seen pictures of celebs flaunting themselves after a few days. Im just a smelly rat with pyramid boobs!
Get a dry skin brush. Works a treat for keeping skin soft and blemish free if you are used to exfoliating a lot. I haven't dared put my tan on yet. I look like elvira! xx

Re: I feel sooo scruffy!!!
Dry shampoo is a salvation, i was so happy once i could wash my hair, or see if one of your friends would come round and wash it over the bath, my mum did this after 3 days whilst i kept hold of them, felt like they were going to fall off if i didnt!
As for the rest strip washing and wipes are all i could think of xx

Re: I feel sooo scruffy!!!
Ooh babe i rememeber this, feeling like a right dirty mare! lol!
Defo a half shower is the way to go, you always feel better with a clean undercarriage! just be carfeful not to spray the boobies!!
Dry Shampoo is brill but only works for so long. I couldnt bare to bend over the bath to wash my hair, so i sort of lay on the floor with my head on the floor of the shower and my friend washed it for me, got a stiff neck but was glad for clean hair! I actually managed to dry and straighten it myself which shocked me! Think I was only 5/6days PO at this stage! Hope this helps hun xx

Re: I feel sooo scruffy!!!
Yeh, the first week isn't a whole lot of fun. I managed to wash my hair over the bottom of the shower while kneeling on the floor - trick was to lean head down as far as poss rather than lifting arms up.. if that makes sense? Then wrap a towel around your hair and hop in and use the hose to wash your bottom half, and a wash at the sink with a flannel for the rest of you. It takes ages, but made me feel loads better. First shower is heaven...

I was told I could also take a shallow bath, just as long as dressings don't get wet, helps to have clean lady bits, or a half shower as well. See if someone can wash your hair for you, or book a wash and blowdry at a local salon, it will make the world of difference to you.
Just think how amazing that first shower will feel!

Thank you girls! I'm too embarrassed to go to the salon with my chip pan head! I'm going to attempt to wash it kneeling on the floor with my head in the shower! Did any of you have really pointy boobs that have rounded out? Xx
Re: I feel sooo scruffy!!!
Yeh I done a great Madonna impression for the first couple of weeks. They'll look far better once the swelling subsides. What you have now is definitely not what you'll end up with. promise!

I also did a great Madonna impression for the first week or two but they do round out and soften hun. You're still very early days and have lots of settling and dropping to do. You will still be very swollen and minxie is right - what you have now is not what you will end up with.

Thank you girls, looking at your gorgeous boobs & hoping mine turn out the same! X
Re: I feel sooo scruffy!!!
I know how you feel hun it is frustrating! I sat in the bath up to my waist so the "lower half" got a good wash, then i used a sponge for my underarms , it doesn't matter if the sides of the bra get a bit wet. I then washed my hair over the bath with the shower attachment. I did this everyday it was a mission and a half but sooooo worth feeling clean! x
