what to do?
Hi girls, my names Jade, I'm new to all this!
What it is, Ive been very depressed for a long time now about the way my boobs are at the moment. I am a 34B but i am not happy at all with my breasts. Im 18 years old and have been thinking long and hard for a few months about getting a boob job as soon as I can.
But to be honest, I dont have any friends or family who have had a boob job, id be the first! I was just wanting some general advice (if you would suggest me to get one, what the pain is like and what to do when recovering)
I mean i have read up on the interenet about things, but it would be nice to talk to people who have actually been through it!
Thanks a lot!!! Jade xxx

Re: what to do?
Welcome hunni - this forum has been brilliant for support and info through my BA journey. Have a read through the posts and you'll get a good feel for what to expect. There's a good section here - lots of food for thought...
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
As for pain - it seems everyone is different and it all depends on you, your general health, the type of operation you go for, whether you have your implants placed under or over the muscle... personally I had an easy time of it and didn't suffer much more than a bit of aching - not enough to require painkillers. Have a read through some of the BA stories too - they'll give you a good idea of what you can expect if you choose to go ahead. Remember it's a very personal decision to you, and try not to be influenced by what anyone else thinks.
Good luck
Mx

Re: what to do?
hello and welcome jadey!
I had my BA in July last year and can honestly say its the best thing I've ever done. I found I wasnt in any pain as such just more discomfort and when your recovering its best to just rest. As for advsing if you should have a BA well I afraid thats a decsion on you can make.
Why not book some consultations if you havnt already and get an experts opinion?
If you have any questions at all just post them in the general BA section and all the girls will help the best they can. xx

Re: what to do?
Thanks for your reply :)
I was thinking to go the silicone way. Ive read that it seems to be the least painful way? I mean, i think ive got quite a high pain barrier, but if I could choose the least painful way, then thats what ill do! LOL.
Im quite petite, I wondered if that had anything to do with the pain aswell.
I would just like to know more about it before I go to see my GP.
It all seems so easy from what people are telling us on here, its stupid things i read in magazines which makes me panic a bit!
I would do absolutely anything to have bigger boobs and id definatley be a lot happier and feel a lot more feminine!

Re: what to do?
Don't read too much into the horror stories in the media hun - funny how it's only ever the bad side of the boob job that makes it into the papers and onto the news.

Re: what to do?
Hi Jade, I'll be the first of my friends and family to have a ba too.
I think you should book some consultants will a few companies first and see how you feel. With some companies on your first consultation you see a patient coordinator and also a pc and a surgeon.
This site is fab and has been so helpful to me and I know many others too.
Good luck on your boobie journey, just remember to research as much as you can and be 100% happy with what ever decision you make.

Re: what to do?
Hey Chicky, welcome to the forum!
I think having a boob job is a very personal decision and is one only you can make. It is also a long term commitment as you are likely to need another operation at some point in your life. Allthough i wouldnt recomend reading all the horror stories you find as some in papers are biased, i would recomend being aware in case it did go wrong as some can.
Having said all of this i have largely benefitted from having mine done, my confidence increased 10 fold and it has made me much happier. And even though i have had problems with mine within 2 years i dont think my decision would have been any different.
Best advice i can give is do lots of research, have numerous consultations to get the surgeon and clinic you are comfortable with and be realistic about what you expect from the operation.
Good luck with your boobie journey xx

hey welcome to the forum, ive just recently had my ba and im the only one out of friends and family to have it. i also think i have a low pain thershold and i found recovering very easy so far, more discomfort than pain, as for booking consulations i went to my gp and was referred to a consultant as i thought he would know the best person for the job.

Re: what to do?
Hello Jadey welcome to the forum hun.
If you're going private you don't need to see your gp, you can arrange your consultations yourself. Just do your research, decide which companies you wants consults with, some charge, some don't. Then take it from there. xx
