hi all

day 6 now and i just cant take the weight of these things anymore. my shoulders are just so painful and its hurting my neck as well now which has caused a really bad headache today. i wish i had thought about the weight side of it more and just had the uplift now. seeing the surgeon on thurs and i am thinking of asking him to take them out. i like the fact they are pert but they would have been even without the implants, just smaller and more manageable. i cant see how some of you girls with big implants manage the discomfort. i know its early days but the weight wont change will it, they weigh what they weigh and that isnt going to change.

feeling really depressed and cant stop crying

Oh Vicki sending big hugs your way huni. What has your surgeon said about the discomfort you are in? I don't feel the weight of mine hun and its not something I've heard as being a common complaint so hopefully its just the swelling that you can't bare and not the implant weight itself. Give yourself some time to adjust hun if you are walking a bit hunched over this could be contributing to your discomfort x :console:

Sweetie, you aren't actually feeling the weight of the implants at all... in actually fact your implants weigh hardly anything! probably about a pound in total weight and that's for both of them!

The weight you're experiencing is down to the swelling hunni. Your breasts have just suffered the trauma of surgery and are healing hun. I promise you, you will NOT feel any weight from your boobs once the swelling and healing has settled.

You're very early days in your recovery hun and it DOES get better, try using ice packs across the tops of your boobs hun to help with the swelling, you're probably experiencing the 'post-op blues' too babe. Most of us experience this post-op but it does subside...

A gentle cuddle coming your way babe. It WILL get better. Hug

Cookie is right, it will get better. I've always been large breasted and they felt SOOOOO heavy (had full lift also). You have so much going on - a recent surgery which is a life changing event in iteslf, new pretty boobies, strange drugs running through your body, not to mention the post-op blues. It will get better!!!! The heaviness for me started to subside between weeks 2 and 3 so hang in there!!!! xoxo

Hugs vicki. Keep your chin up. I felt like I had a ton weight strapped to me for the first few days and like an elephant had been sat on my chest. But it did go away. It's those horrible post op blues. Keep taking your meds, wear a good sports bra, look after yourself and come on here for all the support you need.

Here's a little bit from my diary

So, day 3 post op and I just couldn't bear my hair any longer, dry shampoo just wasn't doing the job. Small one was away with granny buying school shoes so I thought I'd take advantage and book into a local hairdresser for a shampoo and blow dry. OMG! The minute I stepped outside the house I felt like my boobies were going to fall off, suddenly they weighed about 10 ton each

and again

Well, the post op blues hit in the middle of the night. My little trip out yesterday really tired me out so I went to bed early with a couple of Tramadol. Woke up a couple of times, think I keep trying to turn over in my sleep and waking myself up. Anyhoo, was up about 4am and boobies were sore, itchy, heavy, and I thought 'why on earth did i put myself through this and is it really worth it'. After that my mind started whirling, as it does at 4am. I feel a bit better this morning, although still sore. The sports bra is driving me mad, incisions are itching like hell and I have Frankeinboobs. Had a wee look at them yesterday when I checked my dressings and they are all shiny, still covered in pen, all veiny and still pretty swollen and high.

I think I'm going to try a slightly larger band sports bra as I have a 34DD and its fastened on the loosest hook but it feels like its getting tighter by the day.

Anyway, rant over, and I just have to remind myself I love my new boobies and it will all be worth it!

We all feel like this hun but it does pass Please help, i have had a really bad day 571992

its probably not the weight of the implants at all. Itll be the swelling and the fact that you'll still be sleeping semi upright. That plays havoc with your back.
I was convinced mine were too heavy as i just felt so achey after mine, but a few days after i stopped sleeping upright, I was fine.

Youll probably have the post op blues to a certain extent too. Its all the drugs leaving your system. I spent most of day 4 and 5 crying my eyes out

big hugs xx

Aww hang in there hunni - as the others have said, it's not the weight of the implants - what you're feeling is all down to swelling and trauma to your boobs. Mine felt heavy at the start too, but now after just a few weeks they're part of me and I'm very comfortable with them. Mine are 460cc and I honestly don't feel the weight of them now.

I had a REALLY bad back and neck after my op but it was down to awkward sleeping - (I am a side sleeper and sleeping half upright and on my back really took its toll). Every day though after about a week or two it got better though, hang in there hun - it's not the implants, it's the general healing process and it will get better. xxx

Vicki hunni, please don't get upset. Sending you hugs Hug

I promise you that your boobies don't weigh much hun, it's just the swelling and the soreness that's making them feel so heavy. I remember feeling that they were going to fall off and I only had a small implant like you, and I was walking all hunched over, which didn't help. I also had the feelings of 'OMG why have I put myself through this.' Those post-op blues have got a lot to answer for.

Just get lots of rest hun, take care, it will get better. xxx

Hey princess
I hope your feeling better
I know it's an awful feeling like a pressure on ur
chest but like all the other ladies have said it's not the actuall
implants hunny bun it's the swelling and trauma of surgery
I had 680 implants originally and my surgeon told me they
only weighed around 4lbs so imagine ur little dinky ones will weigh
much more less :-)
I have 300ccs now which is near enough same as you
and even tho I was so massive beforehand the new ones
still felt heavy at first lol!
So hang on in there Hun
ul feel as light as a feather in no time :-)
just give ur body a few more weeks to re adjust xxxxxxxxxxx

Aw hun, it does sound like post op blues, with swelling making them feel heavier than they are. The awkward sleeping doesn't help. I also found I was walking round with my shoulders hunched which didn't help matters. Keep an eye on your posture and if you find yourself hunching a bit remind yourself to straighten up. It will get easier Hug
