You should definately complain!

Nagor is a very good implant, but that isn't the point. You requested and paid for Allergan and that's what you should have got.

Before calling decide exactly what you want from the call - do you want to have the implants exchanged at a later date for the Allegans? or are you looking to be compensated for their error?

If it were me, I'd seek compensation hun - for you to exchange the implants now it would mean you having to undergo further surgery 6 month + from now which isn't really an appealing thought is it.... so I'd call, tell them how upset you are about the error and demad to know what they're going to do about it.

Chances are you'll either get some form of financial return or you'll be offered some complimentary treatments - they should offer you some compensation though and if it were me I wouldn't back down till I got it, they were very much in the wrong!

Hiya,

I agree with cookie, you should definately phone and complain and they should offer you compensation or something that you are happy with. Good luck and let us know how you get on xxx

Your anger is understandable hun.

Let us know how you get on sweetness and don't be bullied into just keeping quiet and settling if they try to convince you that the Nagor are of the same quality as Allergan (they apparently are but this isn't the point) stand your ground and continue with the fact that regardless of the quality, they are NOT what you requested and paid for and continue to demand to know what they intend to do about 'their' error.

Good luck hun! xx

Hey Traci, I totally agree with cookies advice, without a doubt as a minimum you should receive a refund for the extra you paid AND some kind of compensation for the stress of the mix up. Personally, I would contact the clinic straight away to get things in motion. Big hug and I hope you get things sorted. Xx

Hi Traci sorry for whats happened to you babe, you put your faith in these people and make a choice of what you feel is right for you only to have your trust breached while you are in a position to do nothing about it.

I agree with Cookie you should get your head together about what you want to say and phone the clinic. I would be demanding some compensation.

I also chose Natrelle implants and have paid the extra for them. It wasn't until I booked my op that I looked into Nagor. I know it isn't any consolation but their guarantee covers severe capsule contracture for lifetime whereas Natrelles is only 3 years and both companies are the same for rupture which is lifetime.

When you are on the phone to the clinic you may want to mention that as part of their guarantee Natrelle pay £700 towards re-op costs it does not say that Nagor do this in their guarantee.

Hope you get compensated for the distress caused xx

hi girls, well rang my clinic yesterday they were shocked at this 2 i think, the surgeon acully rang me to and asked me when had i asked to have allergan implants? i told him this from the 1st consultation and when booked paid the extra for these, he said ok not to worry that they will sort it out, lets just get recovered first, dont know weather to get on the phone again, i am very happy with my result of my ba he is a fab surgeon i think this is due to poor comunication and obviously not cheacking there notes!!!!!

Your surgeon is right hun, just relax now and get yourself over your recovery period, there's nothing more you can do at the moment hun so just try and relax and now that you've reported the inexcusable error, they should be working on ways on how they're going to manage this.

By the time you go back for your post-op check, they really should have a plan of action prepared for you though hun, so be sure to bring it up again when you go back to your clinic for your dressings to be removed/changed and demand to know what they're going to do. xxx

Hi huni
I know it's not any consolation
but I've just had nagor impleos and my surgeon
mr liew who is a fantastic surgeon said he wouldn't
use any other implant other than the impleos
they are a new generation soft touch implant
that comes with a life time guarentee
all baaps reg surgeons wouldn't use them otherwise :-)
but I see what u mean
my first op I paid an extra 1K!!! For outsize implants
only to discover afterwards they had inserted pip
(recalled dodgy implant worth about 70 quid!!)
imagine the horror :-(
and transform refused to replace or compensate me
I've just had to fork out another 5 an a half grand
for a reop
but youl be fine with the impleos :-)
mine Are only a week old and have softened
up beautifully already and feel so natural

hey girls, well update, had a heated phone call with sue the lady that does all the paperwork etc, surgeons righthand woman, she seemed to be trying to brush this situation off but i ended up going into a rant and she didnt get much of a word in edge ways,

telling me that the price for starters for the impleo is the same as the price for the inspira soft touch, and that the quality is just as good if not better, accepted maybe thats the case but...............

i didnt ask for these, i asked for allergan not once several times even had a phone call to ask me did i defo want allergan as they have to order them and i told them yes, she seemed to be missing the point still, she did say i could have the allergan put in if that is what i wanted, to be honest is it teally worth going through revision surgery??? i dont think so, but my point IT SHOULDNT OF HAPPENED!!!
did you not check your notes i told her you must have this all down in notes?
this is your mistake all i want is some sort of sorry compensation she asked what i had in mind, so i told her well you let me know what you want to offer and let me know!!
so as it stands im waiting to here xxxx

Good for you Traci!

You deserve some compensation for the upset you've suffered since finding out you were implanted with the wrong implant, it matters not of the quality, what does matter is THEY COCKED UP! xx
