Hi recieved my invoice to pay for B.A and it said price for histology not included, does anyone know what this is?

I thought it's a test for cancer. Did they say they would be testing you

They send tissue samples off to see if there's anything to be concerned about such as cancer or changes. I'll be having that done on my lumps of PIP silicone when they're removed. Usually Dr's have a duty of care to test anything they remove that could potentially be suspicious.

Yes, that's correct - histology is the examination of tissue samples - it's even done on healthy tissue to ensure that it's as healthy as it seems or to further determine wht the cell changes are on diseased tissue. I work with docs who use special staining for this.

Thanks for all replies, Dr didn't mention anything to me about them testing tissue when i have my B.A .I just read this on my invoice saying that it wasn't included in price !!
