natrelle / or mentor!
ok i am going in for my first consultation with the hospital group in september .. i am still so unsure of what implants to choose.. i thought that the natrelle implants looked the best!..over the standard allegen which are round i prefer the tear drop shape.. anything natural!..
i am 5. 9 and completely flat chested and weigh 52kg... but am trying to gain a bit of weight... so depressing they just dont grow!!
i model so dont want the results to be omg shes had a boob job?! i want to go to a full b!..victorias secret style..
i am now wandering about mentor??>. what is the difference between natrelle and mentor?..
any guidance would be greatly appreciated
jamie

Re: natrelle / or mentor!
Hi hun they are both good implant makes, reliable. All the implant makes have an anatomical (tear drop) style in their implant ranges don't worry. I would ask the surgeon whether they feel that anatomicals will give you the best result. Take pictures with you to consultations of boobs you like as most surgeons don't work in cup sizes so if you said B cup their idea of a B cup might be an A cup or your idea of a B might actually be a C cup leaving you disapointed with the result. Some people myself for instance also feel they look smaller than they measure. I think I look a DD but I measure a FF.

Re: natrelle / or mentor!
Ok well I'm from the U.S., and all we have over here are Mentor and Natrelle implants, so I'll try to help out with this one. Both are very high quality implants, and are FDA approved. Both use cohesive gel. The Mentor CPG (countour profile gel - anatomicals) are still in trial mode here in the U.S., but there are many women who have gotten them through this trial and are very happy with them. They have level 3 highly cohesive gel, which is the most form stable. Then there's Natrelle's style 410, which, again, have highly cohesive gel. Again, form stable. These highly cohesive gel implants have been nicknamed "gummy bear" implants. Both ranges of implants come in various profiles. I've read online that the CPG's tend to be slightly less firm than the 410s, still highly cohesive and form stable, but softer. Other than that, the only difference is really in the dimensions. Have your surgeon decide which brand has the best dimensions for the volume and profile you're looking for. Hope that helps a bit.

Re: natrelle / or mentor!
I too am from the states - have 350cc mentor memory gel unders and couldn't be happier. they are high profile. what i've learned about the profile is that it depends on the width of your frame. what my surgeon explained is that unless the girl is very broad, opt for a high profile. the others tend to provide more "side boob"....but it's all about personal preference too. i'm not tiny - 5'5" and a size 6 and figured i'd need a moderate or moderate plus profile but when we laid those against my chest they were much wider than the high profile.
there's also a video on here which will show you what the cohesive gel implants look like when you cut into them - it was super informative. good luck jamie!

Re: natrelle / or mentor!
See I'm a size 2 but will be getting moderate profile because I like the cleavage and side boob! I've always believed that higher profiles are for women who want to fit more cc's into the same BWD. Or I guess women that like bigger gaps and no side boob. I feel that side boob is more natural looking than no side boob.

Re: natrelle / or mentor!
i totally agree - on me, the high profile are plenty wide - they hit the inside of my arms and there isn't much gap at all. doc says that there will be even less gap when they settle. i was worried about the same thing too, but it's amazing how different your body is vs what you think it is. :teehee:

Re: natrelle / or mentor!
MemoryGel is just the name that Mentor has given to it's cohesive gel. Like I've already said, both Mentor and Natrelle have ranges of cohesiveness in their silicone implants. The anatomicals have the most cohesive gel. As far as profile goes, it's different for every woman what would look the most natural. That's up for your surgeon to decide. If you have enough tissue to accomodate implants, overs could likely give you just as natural of a look as unders would. I have hardly any tissue, so I'll be getting unders. If I had more tissue, however, I'd probably still get unders as there are lots of benefits to unders - less chance of capsular contracture, the muscle acts as an internal bra and helps prevent sagging, and the muscle helps diminish any visible rippling.

Re: natrelle / or mentor!
Hiya I went to the hospital group for a consultation and they explained the difference between the implants they offer. I'd recommend writing down all your questions you have as it is so easy to forget when your in there.
You've still got a couple of weeks before your consultation so just research and see what you would prefer as this may dictate what company you use as they don't all use the same brand.
Hope it goes well jaime xx
