Naturopath
Hi ladies,
I decided to go see my naturopath in regards to my incisions. My appointment is tomorrow so I will let you know how it goes. I am going in hopes that he may give me something to boost healing!
Let me know what you think of this...thanks!

Re: Naturopath
To be honest hun, I think that 'IF' you do have a seroma you need a specialist in the field of breast augmentation who actually knows exactly what they're dealing with and how to treat it babe.
I feel it's VERY important you have a specialist surgeon deal with this sweetheart. xxx

Re: Naturopath
i'd have to agree with cookie and say go see your surgeon rather than a naturopath

Re: Naturopath
Oh thank you ladies! But I don't think it is a bad idea. I am not getting him to check my incisions or get anything topical! I am going to ask for good remedies and vitamins for healing. My immune system needs a boost as it is probably running over time. I used to take this stuff called Cell Food they recommended and sold me. Look it up..it is the best stuff and you will be amazed. So I am not getting an opinion! Just helpful vitamins and minerals to aid my healing. Also, I have no "fluid like pockets" anywhere on my breasts...so everyone doubt's it's seroma.

Re: Naturopath
I dont see anything wrong with seeing someone to tell you what you can take to aid healing. Although a healthy balanced diet with food rich in vitamin C and zinc is really all you need. If you are taking any medication from your surgeon please make sure you check with him before you take any natural remedies/medicine as they may interfere with each other.
Re: Naturopath
its good to see natropath if your immune system is run down but as for your boobies i wouldnt recomnded it they actually tell u that implants are bad for your health lol mine did when i had bad digestion and tiredness thing is i had that long b4 implants and things have improved since having implants bcause i took steps in natural methods for my heath like cookie i think your surgeon should be one to help u with your boobs xxx

Re: Naturopath
Hi everyone,
So I went to the naturopath. Got LOTS of stuff to take and feeling positive about it all. One of the things she gave me was Zinc, she told me this is great for healing and skin. So So she gave me a two week time frame saying that if I take all as supposed to I should heal well. She said many people come to her prior to any surgery for vitamins and minerals to take to heal better (all is ok with surgeon). So hopefully this is something that will help..I am on my last few options here so I am praying this works.

Re: Naturopath
cookie - unfortunately since the PS I spoke to on the phone didn't perform my surgery he cannot see me (legal reasons I presume!) That's ok tho, I have the letter ready to demand a refund or my lawyer will be contacting him. I decided to move my aftercare to my family doctor.
natalia - my incisions opened up about 3 weeks PO and have been weeping a bit. Had a culture when it first opened and no infections. Both incisions are open under my arms. I can't do anything. Really sucks.
The naturopath was about $135.00 canadian. I was expecting that though so I am ok with it. Time to keep all our fingers crossed and hope they close fast. I am going to see my PS one more time before I send the letter to see what he has to say about them now.
Thanks ladies.

Oh sweetheart I'm sorry to hear that.
You should know hun that general practioners don't know a whole lot about cosmetic surgery hunni and even less when it comes to complications related to this specialised surgery when considering placing your after-care in the hands of your family doctor.
Does the clinic where you had your surgery only use the one cosmetic surgeon Elizabeth? Is it not possible to demand to see another surgeon from the same clinic given that your care from this surgeon has been unsatisfactory?
Could you not file a complaint with the clinic regarding your after-care and demand (if the problems are still there when your surgeon returns) that your surgeon now diagnose the problem for your incisions still leaking and what plan of action he intends to take to fix the problem and get this in writing along with a promise of after-care should you have any further problems?
I'm just very concerned for you sweetness and want the best recovery for you
Re: Naturopath
Unfortunately, he is the only surgeon there. It is his private practice so I don't know what to do in terms of aftercare with a PS. I doubt anyone will take me since he performed the surgery and not them. Very frustrating!

Re: Naturopath
I can imagine Elizabeth... If this PS is your only way to get the specialised care you need hunni, do you not think it might be best to complain about the care you've been given and demand a diagnosis from the surgeon and a plan of action in writing to fix the problem (that's if the problem is still there) rather than being left with nobody who specialises in this field to look after you?
I know how angry and frustrated you are Elizabeth, I too had a battle with my care from my clinic also, but to get the best for me, I had to compromise sweetness, I didn't like it at the time and emotionally I was drained from the fight, but I'm glad I perservered, stood my ground and had the necessary surgery.
Whilst you're having complications hunni, unfortunately your best option to get it sorted is your PS, if it were me in your postion hunni, I would demand your surgeon diagnose the problem, with no suggestion of asking 'what you want' (thought it was disgusting that your surgeon asked 'you' if you wanted him to restitch the incisions) this is his area of expertise and his expert opinion is what you're paying him for!
It's a hard decision to make hun, but please think about whats best for you right now whilst you are still suffering a complication. xx
