I'm still pre op, but I had stitches in my leg a few weeks ago and I had a burning feeling... I was told it was just the nerves around the skin. Hope it gets better soon! Sounds like you have got ideal scarring then! Keep us updated!x

Hun like Kelly said, the burning pain is most probably your nerves. They have been disturbed and kind of stretched to compensate for the implant. This is just nerve inflammation creating the burning feeling. Give it a few weeks for them to get used to their new positioning, they will settle down and the inflammation will subside - don't worry, it's a completely normal thing for disgruntled nerves to do lol.

remember to put plenty of aqueuous/E45 or vitamin E cream on your scars twice daily. helps them heal quicker. I never had the burning feeling but i get the odd stabbing pain where the nerves are stitching back together. i expect to feel that for the first 6 months x

It's best not to apply anything to your scars until you get the OK from your surgeon, if your wounds aren't fully healed and you apply any creams, oils or lotions you put yourself at risk of infection - I was 6 weeks post-op before I was cleared to use anything on my scars. xx

oh, my surgeon told me to after my 2/3 week check-up. he did say that I am recovering a lot quicker than he expected, so I guess I must be lucky!

Everyone's different and we are all given different advice, it's best to always follow YOUR surgeons advice. I was given the go ahead after about 2 weeks to use bio oil on my scars, I was too scared thou and waited another week!
