Anyone had a 2nd BA? Empty Anyone had a 2nd BA?

Post by kate613 16th July 2010, 5:43 pm

Im having my 6 year old pips replaced in 4 weeks. Been having a lot of pain in my left boob but i'm very lucky as my ultrasound seemed to show no rupture.
At my consult the surgeon said to expect to be a bit more sore 2nd time around.Oouch! Im just wondering if anyone on the forum found this?Did you feel it took you longer to recover 2nd time around?I had a fairly easytime (after wk 1)with my first.
I have 250cc unders at the mo and have opted to have them replaced with 360cc (under again) so i dont know if the difference in size would add to the soreness?
Im looking forward to having the Pips gone believe me....just wondering what to expect.

For a straight forward implant exchange with a larger implant you should by all accounts have a much easier recovery second time around hun as the pocket is already made and in position and the skin already stretched so the work to be done is to exchange the implant from one to another, so I'm not at all sure why your surgeon would suggest this time would be more painful? Hi there, I had my second BA just 3 weeks ago to change over my 315cc PIPs to 560 Nagors because I wanted my pIPs out and go a bit bigger while I was there. The second op was amazing - much better and less painfull than the first. But I dont' know if that was because of the surgeon or because it was the second time around. The first op was with Harley Med almost 2 years ago and my surgeon Riccardo Frati was awful. My new surgeon, Simon Withey at Mybreast was amazing and fixed up the problems that Mr Frati had done the first time. I wouldn't recomment Harley Med to anyone after finding out the difference in quality from my second op. I hope that helps....

Jess did your pips rupture? Just wondering if there's a difference in recovery depending on rupture or no rupture?

Hi, no my Pips hadn't ruptured thankfully.... they had just leaked a bit of silicone though but it was able to be cleaned up easily I think.... x

My 2nd BA was 100 times easier, i recovered after 2 days whereas i felt normal after 2 weeks with my first. Like Cookie said, your pockets have already been made etc. You'll be fine hun x

I hope not! I am having a second op next month, I heard it is much easier to recover from and all the ladies on here who have had it done twice say it is much easier.

Maybe he is just covering his back, it wouldn't be very good if he said its much easier and less painful then it was more painful for you would it. xx

I'm also considering getting my 6 year old Pips replaces - I have no problems with them, but concerned about the pips. They are overs and I've been advised to have unders - has anyone else swapped like this and what was the result like please?

Why have they suggested unders this time noname?? I am going for my second BA at the end of this month and am going from overs to unders because sadly I have CC in my right breast and by having unders will reduce my chance of CC again (it's not a guarantee). My surgeon also believes unders will look more natural on me as apposed to very round (see my avatar pic). x
