bra help!! Empty bra help!!

Post by kayla 13th July 2010, 7:36 am

I hav tried on quite a few underwired bras now, went shopping yesterday and Sunday!!
Sunday - I bought a 30G from bravissimo (the cupin the style apparently runs big) I am yet to receive it as they ony had nude in stock and I wanted black. During the filtting it felt lovely the best of the 8 I tried on. Looked great too.
Then I went to M&S. Found a bra in a 30 and it was soo tight. Went back out and went in armed with various 32f and 32g's and one 32gg. Only the 32f looked and felt anything like as all the others came up a bit far in the wire at the inside of my boobs (and becasue they are newish and firm still, a balconette type bra doesn't suit me.) SO I bought the 32f and brought it home. Wore it for two hours and I could feel msive pressure and also every cm of the underwire on my ribs, not bust, that felt fine. The band felt so tight.
Monday - So I took that back yesterday!! I found a 32G and 32gg in the same style. The 32G wires were away from my chest a bit when I stood up straight, must have slumped on Sunday with the 32f because I didn't notice it!! The 32GG however fitted like it was made for me. Bought it and put it straight on on arriving home. Few hours later and the band feels sooo tight again that it is almost like the wires are pulling into my body and its fine when I stand up but when relaxing or sitting down the wires really rub my ribs. The bras at all times have been on the loosest settings.

Do you all think I need a 34 in M&S? Just hoping the same tight feeling doesn't happen with the bravissimo one!

Thanks for any help you can give me xx

If the bra 'fits' Kayla, just bare with it hun.

It took me a long time to be able to wear underwires for long periods as they really were uncomfortable and even made my boobs ache!

Try wearing the underwires for an hour, then building up the time gradually over time until you're comfortable to wear them for how long you like.

Lots of us have been through the same thing Kayla, your boobs are still settling and aren't sitting correctly in the bra just now, so it can often be uncomfortable - it does get better though, just ease into them hun. xx

Kayla you're only about 6 weeks hun so the girls are right, your boobs need to get used to the feeling of a wire again. Maybe M&S isn't the brand for you anyway... I wouldn't wear something that hurt, but i must admit even 3 moths post op i don't find underwires amazingly comfy either.
