August Buddies!

Hi August Girls,


I had my pre op check yesterday, really put my mind at rest with a few things. I had bloods, MRSA, BP and they measured me up for stockings! The Nurse went through everything with me and answered all my questions, she was lovely.

For anyone who has been worring about sports bras etc she told me that the Asda ones are fine so long as you aren't doing anything like running!!!

It's all getting very real now.

i was 'imaginary' bra shopping today lol. looking at all the lovely bras and wondering, will i be this size, or that size....will i actually fill that massive bra lol. i had no idea it would be such an emotional rollercoaster. from sheer excitement and no nerves, i now think "am i seriously paying someone to knock me out, cut open my chest and stick some plastic in there" but at the same time "yay, this time tomorrow i will have lovely boobies".

OK - 5 days to go -- and NOW i'm starting to get a little nervous!! I've been waiting so long for this and now its only a few days away I'm actually starting to get a little worried, not of the op itself but of how I'll feel when I wake up ..... I guess I just don't know what to expect!!

Over the last couple nights, i've been dreaming about my new boobies - first dream I had, I dreamt I woke up with them being absolutely massive (woke up in a panic!!), the other dream I had I can't remember it fully now other than I remember I was in pain!

I'm hoping tonight, I'll have a nice dream about them, otherwise i'm just gonna freak myself out before now and then!

Dont get me wrong I am excited but the nerves are starting to kick in!!

Aww hunni, totally know what you mean about the nerves. I was the same. People can say "it'll be alrigt" til they're blue in the face but it won't stop you feeling nervous... There would be something wrong if you didn't feel the way you do! Oh and the dreams don't stop afte the op by the way! I had the weirdest dream last night that the guys from 'nip/tuck' had done my BA but my left had gone flat and spread out after just a week and they couldn't fix it for me because the company had been bought over by lotus (yes, as in the cars) and they were now specialising in bum cheek implants!!... Yeh I have really crazy dreams - always have had... That really doesn't even scratch the surface! Lol

Anyway, I can't wait to hear how you all get on.. I'll be glued to the forum to find out!

hey peeps how we all doing not long for some of you now...... im doing ok, still quite sore and my back is achey from sleeping funny...lol, my right side is doing fab not much pain but my left side is another matter, its sore!! think its the tape they have put under though, its like a big band of support and think its nipping the stitch area cant wait to get that bit off, they said after a week but think its more likey to be today...lol....cant believe how pert i look WITHOUT a bra i know they will drop a bit and thank god when they do as i look like barbie (only not as thin...lol).....its just fab from what i had before ....already!!!....only draw back, i look funny in most clothes at mo because of so high and apart....i keep thinking people are looking at me so have became a recluse....lol

Yay Storky glad to hear another August buddy is doing well. Wonder how Kittie is getting on. As I'm the last day of the month I will hopefully get to read the rest of you lovely August ladies stories before I go for mine. Not sure if that will send me more into a panic than now as I've still got just over 2 weeks to go and my nerves have well and truly kicked in already and I also keep having the wierd booby dreams, the worst this weekend so far was when they gave me 3 boobies like the alien woman in Total Recall. Scary lol xx

Hey everyone. I'm home and doing okay. Panic and nerves kicked in just as I went to theatre but I love love love my new boobs! A little sore but not as sore as I expected. Just keeping up with painkillers and ice packs are a great thing! Not long CJA or for you peachy!

Hey ladies -- me AGAIN!

Ok - so I didnt actually have any horrible boobie dreams last night (yay!) but now I'm wondering if the the SIZE of implant is too small for me now!!

I'm having 300cc unders so i'm wondering how big this will make me (I am a small A-cup currently). My surgeon suggested that I bring in 34D bras with me on Thursday and before I thought 'bloody hell, thats a bit big' but now i'm thinking if thats what i'm going to look post op (with swelling and everything) maybe I should consider a larger size implant as I dont want to be disappointed when everything has settled....??

Oh I don't know. It could be that as i'm getting closer and closer to the date that i'm just doubting EVERYTHING..... I was really happy with the size of the implant when I tried it on - and when i tried it on again at my pre-op but now, I'm having second thoughts!!

hey cja. i started doubting size a few days ago as well. helps that my surgeon doubted size when i saw him yesterday and increased it. why not speak to him? or email your PC. i was a 34b/c and had 340 overs and am wearing a 34dd sports bra. think everyone worries they will wake up and not be happy tho, seems to be normal.

Hi CJA I think we all have a wobble about the size we have chosen. My surgeon is taking 3 sizes into theatre so my worry is they will end up too big. Do as suggested hun and have a word with your surgeon even if its just for reassurance. Hopefully you will have explained exactly what you wanted at your consultation but if in doubt clarify.

I already know what I'm going to say to mine before my op I've asked for a D but I'd rather end up with a fabulous natural looking C than boobs that look out of proportion if a D would be too big for me. We put a hell of alot of faith in these people and we are the ones who end up with the results so best to make sure you are on same page.

Thanks Kittie & Peachy -- I'm getting straight on the phone tomorrow to my PC to see if can go in tomorrow evening to try on the implants again. To be honest, I never tried on anything past 300 as I was really happy with those but originally I wanted to be a C-cup ---now i'm thinking I want to be more a D-cup......

After spending all this money - and going through the surgery - I really want to make sure I'm happy with the end result - and not wishing I'd gone up another hundred cc.

Also, because I'm having unders, he said that i'd loose 10-15% of the size that I was looking at.....

Anyway, I'll check it out again tomorrow for peace of mind. xx

4 more sleeps geordieprincess is that all bet your so excited.....i just removed the big ol bandage thing that was stuck under my boobs......bloody hell that feels better....although did have a slight little panic and had to shout mt OH from the garage when i saw blood.....was only a tiny amount but not what you want to see hey....anyhow panic over i was just being a wuss...lol.....i had 400cc high profiles and there great currently in a 36f sports bra...hope it stays that way...cant believe for the first time in my life my boobies aint on my belly .....im one happy lady and im sure you will be too.....let me know how it goes hun ill be thinking of you xx

Hi August buds how are we all today. Well I'm all paid for now felt guilty for handing over our hard earned savings but hopefully it will all be worth it. Was just checking out the calendar to see whos next and I see there are four of you on Thursday so some more lovely stories to look forward to to while away the next 2 weeks until my day comes. So ceejay, cja, mellie & geordie princess I would just like to wish you all the best of luck and hope you all get the boobies you wanted and i will right behind you well a few days behind you anyway yours enviously
