Re: August Buddies!
Hi girlies! How are we all doing? Geordieprincess - I never had an MRSA swab done either...
I'm not doing too badly today - woke up a bit achey and didn't sleep very well because of being so propped up. Hubby had to use the pillows off the spare bed last night because I'd used his to make my nest :) he he! I managed to wash my hair this morning over the bottom of the shower and felt soo much better. I'm not feeling too restricted either, so... so far so good!
Hope you're all well
Mx

Hi minxie

thanks for the reassurance about the mrsa thing
I've booked an appointment at my g.p to get it done

nose when I was at Beauty college three years ago
I caught it when one of the other students

Re. MRSA - when I had my pre op I never had any swabs taken - just my bloods taken that was it. Oh well, I'm sure they know what they're doing!!!

Re: August Buddies!
Hey GP!!
I'm having 300's high profile but these are going in behind the muscle. I'm told this should take me up to a d-cup.
Yup I'm an overnighter as well !! Where are you? I'm at highgate.....
Got my jimjams too. Re, bras I've got support bras. I checked with the clinic yesterday and they said they're fine so I'm happy now (I had a panic yesterday as I thought I should have bought sports bras) but alls good now !!!
I'll let you know when my admission time comes through - I'm actually finding it difficult to concentrate at work so god knows what I'll be like next week!!!
Speak to you gals later!!! Xxx

So excited now!!!!!!!I can't wait. Everyone keeps asking if I'm worried about an op but I just can't wait for Saturday! And then i can go buy new bras in a while. Had planned a big shopping spree but seems like lots of people change size over the first year or so so might take it slow.

Hi Suz I got some short sleeve button up jim jams from Primark today they were only a fiver I didn't want to pay alot cos I usually don't wear any and I got the matching dressing gown aswell for £6. I've looked around the other stores and they had some reasonably priced ones in M&S and BHS aswell depending on your style as some of the Primark patterns are a bit teenage but I managed to find a couple of suitable pairs xx

Re: August Buddies!
whoop whoop!
hello girls. we are into single digits now!! have been told to get to the hospital for 7am on the day, my surgeon told me i would first to be operated on.
i'm not staying in overnight, as i'm as day case (and that will save me £600) lol. i'm sure i'll puke and stuff on the drive back to my house, but it will be in my aunts car. i haven't had an mrsa check or pre-op, but i had an op with the same hospital group last year, so i suppose that's why i haven't needed one(?)
am still trying to give up the fags. i was doing really well til a woman stressed me out at work today!! grrrr!! long story.........
i wonder how storky got on today?!!!

Re: August Buddies!
I've been thinking about Storky today - can't wait to hear how she's getting on!!
I'm healing so well! I have a little more freedom in my movement every day and I'm still pain free! It's like a dream! I've been out and about today at the hairdressers and done a little shopping (hubby carried everything) and I feel great! Nurse phoned from Transform today and she's booked me in on Monday to have my dressings off. I can't wait for that - I'm already desparate to jump in the shower! She was really impressed with how well my recovery is going. I still have the 'glugging' sounds when I press them, but it's not sore, and a source of great amusement for hubby. Tonight they're feeling a bit softer already and full sensation has returned to my nipples.
I really hope you all have such an easy time as me, because to be totally honest with you - this has been an absolute breeze!!
Hope you're all well
