Re: August Buddies!
Hey hattie, really sorry to Hear about you having to move your date, that's a real shame - you must be disappointed. :(. Still as the saying goes, all good things come to those who wait or something like that.
I know this will be your second op. Any tips you can give would be gratefully received. I just don't know what to expect really, I think that's the worse thing.
Also are unders REALLY painful??? I just need to try and prepare myself!!! Xx

Re: August Buddies!
I have been putting bio oil on, got loads left from when pregnant.
I hadn't even thought about what to wear home, my skinny jeans all seem to take a fair bit of pulling to get up!!
Has anyone seen any nice front buttoning PJ's? Not really a PJ person myself
xxx

Re: August Buddies!
no hun they are not realy painful at all. It is a little sore and heavy feeling but the pain is controlled by painkillers so you will just feel dull aching. When you first use your pec muscles (lifting things) it is a very odd sensation you can feel the implant under your muscle but most people soon get used to it.
You will probably be hunched over at the beginning and not be able to stand up straight but only for a day or 2. Its hard not knowing what to expect I felt exactly the same as I had never had a operation before but it is not bad at all.
You are having surgery so you are bound to not feel quite yourself for a week or so but it is a few days of discomfort (certainly not the worst) and it is worth it.
The only thing I would advise with unders is don't drive unti at least 2 weeks PO. I drove after 1 weeks and my left boob felt like it was going to explode! That did hurt! Take it easy and you will be fine xxx

Re: August Buddies!
OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!! IT'S TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!
My stomach is churning and I can't concentrate on anything else! Lucky I only work part time and am not there today because i don't think I would be too useful! lol
I have my V-pillow, I've been taking vit-c tablets for 2 weeks, I started my arnica yesterday as per instructions from clinic, haven't eaten garlic for 2 days, no beloved wine for a week either :( I still need to pack today... going to take black leggings and baggy white shirt with belt to wear home on Sunday, but still don't have front fastening jammies - just strappy top and crop trouser style ones... going to take them and just hope for the best. Dressing gown has been in the wash so is all clean and fresh for tomorrow too.
Dreading no makeup tomorrow - I NEVER leave the house without my face on and I'm not thrilled with the thought. I'll make sure it's at hand for after the op :D
Now I just need to go and have a good clean of my house so I don't need to worry bout it for a week... at least that'll keep me busy tho.
Think I might clear out my underwear drawer and say goodbye to my old bras! Might keep my favorite one for my memory box tho. lol.
Right, I'm away to clean my bathrooms - what fun!

Re: August Buddies!
Yeh, the garlic thing confused me too, but it says on my info letter from the clinic not to have for at least 24 hours before surgery. I'm pretty sure garlic thins your blood - that's probably why.
Geordieprincess well done on the non smoking!! It'll all be worth it :) I don't smoke, but I'm totally missing my odd wee occasional glass of vino...
Lol Mellie - we're as bad as each other! Wish I could just have a bit of concealer and some eyeliner on! I look strange without it.
Well back to the housework - will find something quiet to tidy while the twins are down for their nap.
