Re: Are unders total agony???
Hi Janey :)
I think it'll depend on individuals and how comfortable they are with the pain.
I have a strong pain threshold but 5 days after my surgery I was in horrendous pain for 4 days. Other ladies who had surgery on the same week as me and who also had unders were fine and just experienced discomfort and tightness.
So don't be scared. Hopefully, it'll be all right with you.

Re: Are unders total agony???
Hi Janey,
I had unders 11 days ago. For me, it felt tight and uncomfy, rather then painful. Just take your tablets as normal and get plenty of rest, and you will heal in no time. The most unpleasnt part for me was the feeling of sickness caused by the GA and painkillers. Go for it, you will be glad you did,,,Im really happy with mine, they enhance your figure and suddenly u look great in bikinis and pretty bras! :) xx

Re: Are unders total agony???
I am 6 days post op with 515cc anatomical partial unders (most ''unders'' are in fact partials) I only feel slight discomfort and a bad engorged feeling if I don't regularly take my painkillers. I am today on just paracetamol and feeling fine.
Like the others have said, it is like the size a certain cc will take you to entirely personal. I would advise getting a heealthy supply of pain killers from your p.s after your op. I would have been sent home with paracetamol and diclofenac, but I told them I was worried it wouldn't be enough so they wrote up tramadol too. They can also write up co-codamol instead of the tramadol and paracetamol( paracetamol is already in co-codamol).
You will be fine though, good luck xx

Re: Are unders total agony???
All surgery is going to have a certain amount of discomfort and I've never had overs so I have no comparison!! My first five days were a bit rough, but I made sure I had plenty of rest and stuck with the painkillers and now it as if none of that happened!!
You might feel as if you can only shallow breathe but once you relax and have the confidence to breathe normally then all will be well with the world ... you'll be amazed at how quickly your body can heal itself.
Once you realise that you can sneeze and they won't fall out you will be fine
Good luck xxx

Hi babe,
Unders are definitely more painful post-op in comparison to overs however, everyone is individual and alot depends upon your pain threshold! Your ps will prescribe the most appropriate analgesia for you to alleviate the pain.

Re: Are unders total agony???
Having had both I'd say that yes unders are more uncomfortable but neither can be described as real pain. You are far more restricted movement wise (getting out of the bath - anything that required putting pressure on your arms (therefore your pectoral muscles). Honestly I wouldn't worry about having unders - if that is the best placement for you then just go with it. Its not that bad honestly. xx

Re: Are unders total agony???
I agree with what's already been said. I had overs so can't really comment on having unders but I am a total wimp and have a very low pain threshold, yes it was uncomfortable initially but it was completely bearable. The trick is to know that each day that passes is an achievement, the strange sensations and feelings do pass and to keep picturing yourself in all those lush bras, this positive thinking definately helped me!

Re: Are unders total agony???
I had unders and didnt have any pain, just tight/achey feeling in the chest and they felt like they were going to fall off for about a week!
It does depend on if your surgeon is using local in the breast area because mine injected it all around the breast area during my op so it was numb for ages so no pain.
Good luck with your op!

Re: Are unders total agony???
Hey hun
Im 5th day post op now and have had unders (330). havent really had unbearable pain, just tightness and discomfort, mainly unable to move around as usual.
But apart from that is so far so good.
Like mentioned before everyone is different but as long as painkillers are available you should be fine!
All the best babe

Yep I had unders too. More uncomfortable than painful. Have you had kids? The best way I can describe it is the feeling that you get when your milk comes in when you start breastfeeding.
You'll be fine

Re: Are unders total agony???
I can't compare to overs since I never had them, but I didn't have much pain at all from my unders. Was bit uncomfortable but pretty much up and about on the third day. Its probably different for everybody but alltogether it should be bearable. The pain will go away and its definitely worth it! :)

Re: Are unders total agony???
My own experience was no pain just a dull ache. I took my painkillers every 4 hours for about 4 days and nights. The worst part for me was the lack of sleep, general tiredness and constipation from taking the pain killers!
There are lots of individual differences though, and some people experience more pain than others, but it usually passes after a few days
