I straightened mine and used protective spray on it, nothing in any of my pre-op notes suggested I shouldn't and I wasn't asked if I had used anything on my hair when the nurse went through everything just before surgery so I should think as I was that you'll be just fine Emma. xxx

I did my hair as normal, I put my leave in spray in and serum but didn't use any hairspray.
You should be fine. There is no way I was having a bare face and scruffy hair!

Ooooo me too there was no way I was having messy hair! However, I remember I had to take out my scrunchie as it had a metal bit in it (I hadn't realised) and so they told me just to leave my very long hair down. Goodness knows what they put on my head in theatre as when I went to the bathroom later that day my hair was in a right state! I really didn't care at that point, I was too busy being sick
My OH found my messy hair funny thou, men! x x

I had to have mine up in a hair net and was asked to take my make up off- I didn't really care- long as I had my boobs I didn't give a monkeys about my face or hair! x

Hi hun
I straightened my hair, backcombed it, sprayed it and even took my dry shampoo with me just in case LOL - Was gutted when they asked me to tie it back and denied having hair bobble as didn't want kink in my hair - so they left it - they made me take my make up off though and I only had bronzer on xxx
