One more swollen than the other?

Hi ladies,

So I'm now 11 days post op One more swollen than the other? 923101

and my right boobie seems to be a lot more swollen than my left and it hurts more too. In fact the left one has hardly any swelling now and does not hurt at all....

Is this normal to have a difference in both boobies and when does the swelling generally go down? I guess it being girly time this week hadn't helped matters eirther!

Was just a bit alarmed looking in the mirror today at the difference in swelling!

OMG I have flaky nipples too, have read in another post that this can happen!? It's never happened before! Have applied E45 to them as suggested in the post, when does this go?

Hiya honey!

Totally normal don't worry. I had one boobie that just wouldn't quit for a few weeks. It's bit of a pain in the bottom but it'll ease. x

Thanks Jemmy, it's just a bit scary seeing your boobies different sizes, guess the swollen one will ease soon! Fingers crossed!

yup all normal, my leftie was my perfect one, tho i liked it because it was bigger! :boobstick:

It's completely normal FG.

One of mine was bigger and swung out toward my armit, they were two completely different shapes and sizes, mine evened out at the 10 week mark after so many changes, but everyone is different hunni, some settle in weeks, others take a little longer, but it's quite normal for there to be differences at this stage in your recovery. xx

but it's the swelling so I'm guessing it will go down and become the same size as the left boobie. x x

my rightie still isnt as bi, but think only i notice it, what size are you wearing at the mo? we have nearly same size implants, tho different makes, shape and profile xx

Thanks cookie, I thought it was, sometimes you just need that reassurance that all is okay! I read somewhere that with overs swelling lasts up to 2 weeks and as I'm fast approaching the 2 week mark started worrying why mine was still quite swelled!

Ooooo yes we had almost the same size! I've been wearing a 30DD sports bra all week since my op, but then due to the swelling the bra was feeling tight on the sides and back so I bought a 32D, which is a bit more roomy at the back.

What size did you end up FB? x x

Try not to put a time frame on your recovery hunni, just remember that we're all different and we'll all heal in our own time, you've just seen your surgeon and he thinks you're healing well, so that's good news and you have us all here to get any reassurance you need whenever you need it Hug

Thanks cookie, yeah Mr Liew said everything is healing well and fast so I guess I'm just worrying about nothing.

He did say the swelling should go down in a week or so, and your right everyone heals and recovers at different speeds.

Yeah we always look smaller than we measure! It was quite a weird feeling knowing I had been put in a DD sports bra after surgery, nice feeling thou! One more swollen than the other? 727935

Was that due to swelling Claire, or was it that the boobies dropped and fluffed at different rates?

Hi, the swelling will go down in time, try not to worry. I had one higher than the other for a bit, then one decided it was going to make farty noises, but the other one didn't One more swollen than the other? 557141

,- they both healed well in the end though.

Are you right handed by any chance? You may be moving this arm more without realising it, hence why you are aware of the swelling.

Anyway, its totally normal, rest up and take it easy x

Thanks hun for the reassurance. Looked at them this morning they both seem level but the rightie is just more swollen on the side really. Yeah I'm right handed, so it's my dominant side. Ooooo haven't had any farty noises or any noises yet, got this to look forward to One more swollen than the other? 557141

My right boob has dropped my left is still up high I think they do heal at different rates its weird because it makes the left 1 look bigger as its up higher !!! xxxxxx One more swollen than the other? Icon_eek

Both of mine have definately dropped over the last week (they were both so high initially!) but the rightie just seems a bit bigger because it's swollen at the side. It is going down thou the swelling, been sitting there every few hours with my bag of frozen peas One more swollen than the other? 557141

I'm sure once the swelling subsides all will be good, are yours swelled too then Lea?

As the girls have said, it's all normal. Swelling will go down after about two to three weeks, so how they look now isn't how they'll end up when they settle.

You've got a bit of a way to go yet but I know you'll love them once they settle fully.
