Re: So swollen : ((((
Don't panic or get upset at how they look just now! Nothing ever prepares you for how they may look immediately PO, you have been looking forward to getting them done and have a picture of how you expect your perfect new boobs to look, just need to wait a little longer and they will be perfect! Swelling etc can make them look horrendous and no matter how much prepare pre op it can still come as abit of a shock! We all have different bodies so react to the op differently some have more swelling than others and some settle quicker than others, so try not to worry ,over the next few weeks they will change lots on the way to you having your perfect new additions I promise!
In the meantime sending you BIG HUGS & LOTS of happy healing wishes. . X

Hun really don't panic, my leftie was absolutely huge post op and was a massive difference between the two! Here I am two weeks on and all is ok, remember they have had a traumatic time and need time to heal. The swelling will reduce and all will be ok babe xx

Re: So swollen : ((((
They're normal hun. They've just gone through a traumatic major operation and the swelling is nothing more than your body's way of protecting your boobs right now whilst they're healing.
If you have ice packs, pop those over the tops of your boobs hun, if you don't have ice packs, a bag of frozen peas, rice, corn... Anything small that's frozen will do! It will help bring the swelling down and also ease any discomfort you might experience too sweetheart.
Its going to be OK and your boyfriend is going to love them, just as much as you will... They just need time to recover. Xx

The swelling will go down hun, just make sure you rest and keep them supported by wearing your post op bra. Try not to look at them too much as you won't notice any changes and you won't think the swellings going. It will get better and before long you'll be saying all this to all of us who are yet to go through it. Big hugs x

I'm so sorry, I know you're having a bad time but this really did make me laugh
We don't have whingers on here lovely... We have women just like you who are scared, confused and in need of reassurance
It really is going to be OK. Everything you've described is totally normal.
It been a little hectic this morning with your daughter because I don't think you were quite prepared for how weak your upper body would be post-op and how swollen you might be... But you're on the other side now and you CAN deal this babe.
Next time your hubby needs to go out he's going to have better prepare, have your friends number to hand, to whoever it is that might there to help you, call them, have them come over and then and only then leave you with the baby.
I'm not saying this to upset you hun, but right now, leaving you alone with the baby could possibly be dangerous for her, or for you. 9 month old babies are right little wriggles and can be very quick and stubborn when they want to be.... Sweetie, it takes a moment for things to happen, should you drop your daughter trying to grab her, either she could be hurt, or you could be hurt. You've just had major surgery babe and are still under the effects on the GA as well as painkillers and you really shouldn't be left alone with your little one for any amount of time. You just aren't able to look after her right now. I hope you understand the reasons I'm saying this Katie. Its only because I care about your welfare and your daughters too, so get your hubby to be more prepared hun and tell him he is not to leave you alone with your daughter babe.
Sending big hugs and hope you're feeling a lot better now. Keep up with the ice packs and painkillers on time and you hopefully should start feeling better soon lovely
