Weight gain after BA
Has any one else put on a lot of weight after ba??
Im four days post op and have put on over half a stone???
it's not all boobs my belly is really big and i cant fit in my jeans???

will this settle??

Yes, hun.
This is caused by the GA and the painkillers and will settle down soon. Make sure you drink lots of water to flush out the toxins, and it's not a bad idea to take a gentle laxative for a couple of days, like fibogel, to help keep things moving.

yep,i was the same.i would say that it took me a couple of weeks to shift my post op tum! totally agree with maria's advice-i took sennecot(sp)x

I've put on a stone since my op, it may be due to recovering and not moving much, my injection and some of it will be the boobs! lol so yeh its normal hun x

totally normal hun, i gained about 7lbs too but lost it by about 1 week post op x

I used califig a few days after my op and lost about a stone I think! I do love GA, but the side effects are awful!

I havent heard of it lol i didnt put on any weight after my BA i stayed the same x

Glad i'm not the only one! i was worried to have put on so much, as i'm not really eating more,
i'm five days post op now so hopefully it'l start shifting! xx

I havent put on any weight since my BA.
But I was very bloated after it and all in all this took 3 weeks to completley go. Im back to normal now.

i put weight on the first week but was at my normal weight again by 2 weeks post op.

I was the same, had bloating and weight gain immediately but after a couple of weeks was back to normal again. Lots of water and something like Fybogel will help...the hospital prescribed me something similar called Movicol as codeine can bung you up...
