hi ya well since last post the hole still there still leakin fluid slows down then starts leakin alot again went to see surgeon he wants to stitch hole howeva he hasnt taken swabs so im not sure what the liquid comin out is and got second opinion from my own doc who doesnt think it shouldnt be stitched she took swabs and wants me to see nhs doc for second opinion anyone had same probs and been stitched whilst still leakin x

This does not sound very good to me and screams infection, is the liquid brownish in colour??
Has the hole increased in size at all?? x

SS is right, doesnt sound good and stitchin it up is a temporary fix. What colour is the liquid, if it is clearish, it could be a seroma, if it is yellow, thick and pus like, it is a infection hun. Hopefully your nhs doc will help more as the aftercare you're getting now is not of a high standard at all

hole is not gettin any bigger the liquid is a cloudy yellow it was clear for while but its like water i dont feel like i have infection i feel well but it doesnt smell to good just confused dont want him to just stitch it and leave it all inside me x

If its clearish, it may be seroma:

And it'll have to be drained with drains until it stops hun, if its got a smell it may be a mild infection. Hope it clears up, I would ask for swabs etc which your dr will probably do

thanx for reply my doc has done swabs im gettin really worried now im 8 weeks post op and still havin probs do u think ill lose implant so dont wan do it all again my doc thinks im slower healer cos iv medical probs just hope it sorts itself out x

if its a yellow colour its def an infection and i would not be happy just having it stiched back up, it will only open up again and it time get worse.. have u tried getting a second opion??? ask to see another surgeon. hope you get it sorted hun xx

im seein a surgeon on nhs for second opinion but scared waitin could make it worse im spos be seein him monday to be stitched can infection clear up or will implant need to be removed i did ask my surgeon this and he said thats what will happen at the worse im so fed up im 8 weeks post op should be gettin back to normal now xx

Have you had results from the swab? Hopefully more antibiotics will sort it out hun still havin probs 571992

sometimes it can be fought off x

no results yet i get them back at end of week doc said hole should be ok left untill i get them and its good its comin out but it cleared right up over xmas and then just started leakin again its mad x

Hiya hun, the liquid i lost was dark in colour and slightly smelly sometimes and would show up dark yellow on the dressing, it was implant infection and my body naturally began to expel the implant through the weeping hole so i noticed the hole become noticeably bigger.

It would depend on the type & severity of any infection whether or not you will lose the implant hun, it's good the hole is not getting bigger, have they given you anti-biotics in the meantime just incase?

Hopefully this will all be sorted for you soon, there's nothing worse than not being able to enjoy your new boobs because of complications, it really gets you down and i do feel for you i really do, sending you lots of hugs, good luck x x

hi ya thanx for reply iv already had 3 courses off antibiotic but tgats b4 they took swabs now my doc has taken swabs i might be given some more just a pain its happened over xmas cos means longer to wait for swab results xx

see surgeon today and well he wants to open me back up totally wash pocket and re stitch has anyone heard this he wants me to go in tommro im worried now x

Oh and i had an explant awake, it's a bit freaky knowing whats going on but you will be fine, it will be over before you know it x x
