No, I didn't dream of anything at all. I remember the stuff going into the cannula in my hand and then I remember chatting  to the man in recovery about how he had just come Back from Afghanistan and how he is a nurse in the army as well as working for THG and I told him how brave he was an I was proud of him!

No I don't remember anything.
The last thing I remember was the anaesthetecist (can't anyone spell that word?!) holding the mask over my head and said "I'm just going to try this one on to see if it fits"  cloud9

No, nothing. When I have had GA before (I've had quite a few) I have a memory of thinking "I'm not going to sleep, I'm going to look asleep but am going to be able to feel everything!" But this time I remember nothing, just oxygen mask then waking up!! Xz

No, I don't think you do, as you're not actually sleeping, you're paralysed and unconsicous. All I remember is that cold feeling going down your throat then the aneasthesist saying "think of something nice". Then, I was in recovery.

I didn't dream either.. It's so weird how GA works isn't it hahaha? It's like we die during the op and then come back to life haha (well that's what it feels like anyway).. All I know is that I was exhausted when I woke up.. I felt like I'd ran a marathon haha! xxxxx

yeah mrs cheese ive veen sedated before a few times, dentist etc and I feel like im in my own wee world loool so you prob were thinking nice things to get you through it!! thereforeplaying with dollies with your daughter

tiger its crazy, when Ellie never came round from from on of here GA when she was getting her hip cast changed she never came round for ages and was away for nearly 3 hours when it was normally 40 mins, she came back to ward with oxygen mask and drips all over her, then her anesthetist came to the ward and was happy she was lively as he was worried he couldnt get her out the "coma" when he said that word he seen the panick in my face and tears in my eyes and he sat down and explained to me what exactly happens during GA, so she doesnt get on well at all with it, im bad but can go under with close obs

So now if she needs anything done we are trying to hold off surgery as she cant go under, well we, us and her medical team have aways been to scared to try!! so her next few surgeries due we dont know what to do or are holding them off til shes older and might get better with a GA

so yeah very strange what happens to the body, specially if a muscle relaxant is given too xx
