Saline or Silicone
Hi all! my consultation with Dr. McDiarmid isn't far away now and I've been doing a lot of research! I'm a bit concerned, however because I read that women under 21 are only allowed Saline filled implants (don't know why). I don't really want to be limited to only saline if I find myself preferring Silicone :S...
I know it's nothing to get wound up about but I can't help it!! Does anyone know if this information is true??
Thanks :)
Tillie xx

Re: Saline or Silicone
hi lovely can I just ask where you found this information? id hazard a guess a US site.
silicone is the main implant used in the UK. so please dont worry, in fact you wont even be offered saline implants.
x
if you have any other questions please ask away here and try not to get too caught up in google! xx

Re: Saline or Silicone
There were a few sites that said it, but you're right they're American *phew*
I'm panicking because I'm only 19 and all the stories I'm reading are from 25 years+ and I've convinced myself that Dr. McDiarmid is gonna turn around and say I'm too young :S Don't mind me just having a panic haha
Thank you though :) xx

Re: Saline or Silicone
Awww hunny, don't panic. At 19 you're an adult.
We've had a couple of 19/20 year olds have Bas here.
The only thing I would say is that you will be having a few more Bas in your life time. The average recommendation for change is around 10years all being well . However things like pregnancy can change the aesthetic look of your boobs.
But don't worry about your age hunny, if you want this you're an adult and have the right to choose what you do.
Sorry to seem if I'm prying , and please tell me to mind my own business but do you have a support network or support of your family? X

Re: Saline or Silicone
Since I've booked my consultation, I think people realise that I'm serious about getting it done so my family and boyfriend have gone from saying 'You're being silly' to actually being quite supportive about it :) I guess I'm quite lucky in that respect.
