I've just been checking out my menstural calendar and it looks like I might have my period on my BA date. Is that a problem?

I'm normally like clockwork but I think all the excitement of having new boobies has made me go all over the place! I don't get much pain but my boobs hurt when I'm on so I guess I'll have double pain!!! Oh well guess it will be worth it and like you say Jemmy at least the painkillers will help xx

it won't be a problem hun, as long as you wear a towel as the GA can apparently cause toxic shock if wearing a tampon.
you'll be fine to wear them afterwards though.

Do they provide towels at the hospital or should I take some with me?

Probably best to take some with you Jemmy. If hospital towels are anything like hospital pants... Rolling Eyes

When I told my nurse I was on and wearing a tampon she said she could see if she could get me a pad, so they probably will have some. But just to be on the safe side! xx

Must be the curse of the August Girls. If that's the only bad thing to happen we'll all be thankful. I know what you mean about the signs though, I've got a swollen tummy and could bite someones head off lol

I know this isn't always advisable so please speak to your doctor first but if any of you are on the pill and you havn't been advised to stop taking it before your BA then if you carry on taking it without a 7 day break then you will avoid having your period. I did this when i went on hols once, never caused me any probs.

you have to stop taking the pill Lenz, as it can increase risk of blood clot, at least thats what my surgeon has told me to do, stop taking a month before xx
