I've never heard of a soft under wire! If they've not said sports bra, maybe just go for a low impact sports bra, or a sports crop. It sounds like they want you to have support, but don't need full on rock solid ain't going nowhere support! If you're at all unsure though, call your surgeon and ask to clarify. I'm sure they'll have something in mind and can tell you where to get something from.

Hmm...maybe an actual 'post op' bra. they're meant for mastectomy patients, but I think it's what some of the clinics here recommend. I'd definitely ring and confirm if I were you

Are you sure she didnt say a 'soft cup bra' hun? A supportive bra is a support bra shrug

I also don't know of 'soft wires' either? Wires are wires aren't they? And aren't all worse metal? shrug

Your surgeon has me totally confuddled hun. I'm suspect that she just means a soft cupped non-wired bra though.

It would be best for you to call and have her explain more what she wants from a bra babe because if that's what she actually wants, it just doesn't make sense does it?

They do sell bras with 'soft' wires as the lingerie shop i went to last week had them. They are like hard plastic but bendy and movable so shape so not like a hard underwire one so i would have a look around on the internet to find them.

The shop is called either TDK or TKD lingerie in Dubai...they have a facebook page if you want to check them out but i know they order from all over to be shipped to here so maybe leave them a message asking. They are really helpful.
