when to shower??

Im a week post op tomorrow. I was supposed to have my dressings changed yesterday but nurse had to cancel so im going tomorrow. As im sure most of u are aware its horrible not being able to shower for a week. Iv been washing my hair and washing in the areas that i can manage bit its still. not the same. Can anyone reccommend when i can have a proper shower as i cant find my sheet with do's and donts lol xx

Count yourself lucky babe, I couldn't shower for 13 weeks!

You may get the all clear tomorrow babe, but best to wait and have your wound check before getting your wounds wet due to the risk of infection hun. Xx

Thanks cookie. Yeah im waiting until i.get a check up tomorrow.. 13 weeks :0 o goodness thats awful god knows how u must of felt. Was that was your scar hadnt healed properly or what? Xx

Yeah, I had an allergic reaction to the disolvable suctures. Only just healed over properly now at nearly five months post-op!

I was told I could shower at my one week post op with the nurse. Had dressings removed and I was given spare steri strips in case the fell off

I was given the all clear to shower at 6days post op. but it's a bath I'm ongoing to have lol x
