Does anybody know how long post BA you have do wait before you can fly? Is in 12 weeks?! Thinking ahead for holiday! Thank you.

2 weeks short haul 6 weeks long haul accoring to mrs cc kats website and also mya ask an expert website x

yeah in was advised 6 weeks due to pressure but people go abroad and fly infact on of the regulars on here flew to get her BA done xx

This was the information I was given by Transform lovely:


All patients are advised that the department of health recommend that patients undergoing major surgery do-not fly long haul for 12 weeks after their surgery. This is due to your increased risk of deep vein thrombosis. All other patients are advised that there is an increased risk if they fly within 2 weeks of surgery


But you should always gain advise from your own surgeon. X

Thanks for having a read girls. That's really helpful. I'll speak to my PS also. The Department of Health is always a good source of information. 8 weeks to go, yay!
